I'm with Finn on the Marvel routine, I find the awful jokes are mistimed and just painful especially in the second Thor film.

Personally like the old spiderman ones (not no. 3 with emo Toby mind) but I might be a little biased with him sharing my name.

Thor Darkworld was fairly shite tbh in comparison to their more recent stuff as was Iron Man 3

I don't mind the Spiderman franchise maybe that's the comic fan in me but I find them far more corny then anything else Sony or Marvel have put out that's why I'm looking forward to Venom with it being far darker

No I get that, just feel like a lot of the marvel films just stick to the same routine, megalomaniac boss, failed experiments etc. I could watch tom Hardy in anything to be honest

It's a Sony film who have the rights to the "Spider-Verse" and they don't do these films quite as well as Marvel do tbh

Saying that I'm looking forward to Venom the CGI looks brilliant and Hardy is a great choice to cast as Brock

As I've said all along, it was a huge mistake not getting him a loan move.

According to some being around the squad and having Premier League coaches around them then the odd cameo appearance is more beneficial than a loan..... 🤯

The same goes for DCL neither are ready for this level

  4. Watching the same games Bailey everyone has a different interpretation of it which isn'tt a bad thing... And I got your post but again I don't agree with it nor do I think you got what I was getting at but heyho

He played behind him as he does the two mentioned who are far less disciplined moreso Davies as Sigurdsson is clearly the one who will be instructed to go forward more

My point is split between the two as I've said he shouldn't do it at times but at other times he's going forward into space he shouldn't have to as well as it should be occupied by others who are equally to blame for bad positioning

    Anyway 😁

How does a goalie need a rest 😂 Pickford should play every game

Didn't say he "needs" one the term goes hand in hand with giving another lad a go, it's better than saying drop Pickford for Virginia "why you dropping Pickford"

The lads playing very well and has to be better then Stek who got the nod against Rotherham so I'd rather see this lad given a chance

  6. Probably see something like this, would like to see Virginia tbh sounds like he's doing very well and Stek scares the shit out of me so if we do rest Pickford it makes sense to award the lads good performances

Some of the other lads need minutes under their belts and an opportunity to show their worth so I'd expect a fair few changes, not what I'd pick but wouldn't be surprised if it's similar to that

                          Virginia

    Kenny     Keane     Holgate     Digne

                            Gana

            Dowell                Morgan

    Bernard          Tosun            Lookman

It does if that means he can break up play almost constantly whilst he has the defensive cover from his team mates. Yes he might have been a part of two of their chances but it felt like he stopped many more and then got us back on the ball to start attacks.

You know what you get with Gana and if Silva didnt want that in his side he wouldnt play him. The last couple of games he has been given a platform to go out and do what he does best and we are better for it until we have better players available to us.

Just seen this, the top part is partly what in getting at re the balance of the side if McCarthy was fit and in the side or a Barry type as I've just said then that's fine but ATM it's risky

Hopefully Gomes can fill that void and at greater odds McCarthy can come back and be the player he was

Gana being out of position is nothing to do with the other midfielders. He just chases the ball too often. If anything the other midfielders are caught out by Gana being out of position and having to try and cover him rather than the other way around. I have played alongside guys like that and you expect to be able to able to pass someone on and then you realise they are 5 yards away from you and charging at the man with the ball.

This season it has been really noticeable how much Davies has kept his position and in the last two games in particular he was done a great job of driving the ball forward too.

I actually like the combination of these two under Silva. They played well against Southampton, a little more hit and miss at Bournemouth (?) and then really well against Arsenal and Fulham. They seem to be getting the best out of eachother at the moment and long may it continue.

Again we'll agree to disagree, read what I said properly rather than take parts of it

How can it have nothing to do with other players if that was the case he would be occupying the same space as Davies or Sigurdsson which would mean they aren't in their positions either

Obviously it isn'tt always the case as I've said "at times" but for the most part Davies and Morgan are either static or running around like headless chickens

Davies went missing in the Arsenal game and made a handful of decent forward passes against Fulham bar that he was onymous, I'm not totally dismissing the lad as he did have brief moments but for the most part he miss places passes or runs into players he did it multiple times yesterday and Morgan has been as we know shite

If he kept his position like you say he has we wouldn't have the gapping holes at the back on the counter as he'd have covered for Gana

It's no coincidence he didn't make those runs as often when he had a player Infront of him like Barry who is the type of player I previously referred to and Barkley was the Sigurdsson type then

In a nutshell he makes those runs which he shouldn't as often or shouldn't have to as we don't have a properly balanced it's partly his fault don't get me wrong but if the above were addressed he wouldn't have to

  9. Gana is brilliant at what he's supposed to do tackle intercept then play it simple

He does at times get caught out of position but I do think that's partially down to having either Morgan or Davies by him who both are equally headless chickens and out of position at times

Neither drive the ball forward well or offer much else so he seems to take the mantle at times which he shouldn't do/have to

If we had Sigurdsson Infront of him with (hopefully Gomes) a more positionally aware player that could be the interlink between Gana and Sigurdsson/forwards then our shape would hold much better and he could just sit back collect the ball and move it on

Either way the positives of his game far outway the negatives

  10. Maddison will be key for them if he's played centrally which I think he will be

Puel will have seen how open we are on the counter and Maddison will dictate the change in play and play through balls to Vardy for fun if we don't tighten up

Missed a trick with that lad albeit he's apparently a bellend off the field, he'd have been great next to Sigurdsson

                           Pickford

    Kenny     Keane      Zouma      Digne

                             Gana

            Sigurdsson          Bernard

    Walcott                                 Richarlison

                             Tosun

DCL isn'tt clinical enough and isn'tt ready for me personally does some good things but lacks when it matters and hopefully the goal will give Tosun the lift he's needed

Bernard for Davies he's a far better player its that simple really and his experience with keeping our shape etc could be vital, Gana to sit back and do what he's good at brake up play and give it simple

Tough game really as they are very similar to us ability wise

  11. Apparently not as bad as first thought and has suffered a "minor" set back, what that set back is hasn't yet been officially stated but it's apparently not a metatarsal break.... hopefully

I've not much concern on Mina as much as I want him to play we have options it's Gomes that has me scratching my head as to why we've brought him in so far off being fit and ready

He has to play in a 2 up front system. If he's not going to, he's not going to develop.

I've said this previously he needs a foil

I don't think he's close to being ready for this level tbh and no fault of his own he's been thrown in when he's not ready and it's piss poor man management tbh

Should have been bought then loaned to a willing and decent championship side for a couple of seasons

He has some good attributes but he'll never get that finishing touch and instinct playing against top level defender's with having little reaction time etc

It'll be all good and well playing him deeper to utilise him but I think the bigger problem is him utilising himself.

I also agree with that though he does need to step up to the plate far more often, if he's given a slightly different role and still does that for the most part then it will be very telling

  14. He needs to be played further back with some free reign

Prior to coming here he was top of the pile for distance covered and making runs in many games and he can't do that here with the system we use and the players we have it's far to tight further up for us than he's previously had it

He covers distance makes runs and can play the ball as well as anyone given the space and scores the vast majority of his goals running the ball to the edge of the box

I'd try him centrally and get him to pick the ball up from Gana and go from there, he's more positive and has more about his game than both Davies and Morgan
