  1. You keep refering to the Stadium as a 'concrete lump' yet if it was built on Walton Hall Park it suddenly becomes a 'Superb Stadium' Why is it that it is superb on a park and a lump on a derelict site that you want to protect? I don't understand your logic there. I would be happy with a ground on WHP myself, but what makes the stadium change from a concrete lump to something superb simply by it's location.
  2. I really enjoyed the quiz Bill thanks for that.
  3. I understand what you are saying. Personally I don't want others to hate us. I want them scared shitless of us.
  4. I put those questions out and I will hopefully have enough replies to post on here at the weekend. I know it is not league, but I hope I tailored the questions to fit. Anyway if it is not so good there is no reason why you can't do it as well. Thanks for the opportunity. Rube
  5. I have trouble with change. (EG I don't want to leave Goodison) So the possibility of BK selling is not a subject I like to dwell on. I think he has done a hell of a lot for the club, I really do. He brought in Moyes. He kept faith with Moyes when many other owners might have got rid of him. He put his money (what little there was of it) where his mouth is, and he openly admits to loving the club. So with that in mind I would be reluctant to see him go. On the other side of the coin, I know we need more money, I know we need to improve the squad and I know we need a better stadium. I can not bring myself to slag off BK for what he is or for what he has done. If I had the finances and interests that he has I may well have done the same as he has done. I would like to think I would anyway. Whatever the outcome I do believe that if he hadn't stepped up to the plate when the Johnson debacle took place we would be a lot worse off today (in more ways than one) than we actually are right now. For me it will be a sad day when/if he leaves. I hope it leads to happy days with the new owner, but I would need to be convinced on that.
  6. That is just poo really. The CL games are all on SKY so why can't terrestrial TV show all Europa League games?
  7. If Timmy goes into attack then someone will have to replace him in midfield. So someone else will need to be dropped. But yes, fair point, it need not be Saha.
  8. Are the police useless or what? They must have some clues to the identity of these thugs by now. Hang them by the family jewels and let footy fans beat them with sticks.
  9. He was and to me still is the greatest player I have ever seen in an Everton shirt. Bless him, he could have had and been so much more. If you never ever saw him, let me tell you he was so far above most others on the pitch he was like a magician. I doubt we will ever see his like again.
  10. Yep I noticed that too, tried to ignore it as he is and never has been the sharpest knife in the kitchen. By the way, what does that Chinese writing say on your siggy?
  11. I have to admit I am old enough to be familiar with LSD. Errr that doesn't sound right does it?
  12. Hmm Saha scoring and Timmy midfield or Timmy scoring and saha on the bench. I think Saha will get more goals than Timmy. Besides if worst comes to worst he can always play him up front as and when required.
  13. I heard a quote on MOTD this weekend. Gary Lineker on Spurs 5 - 1 win over Burnley... Robbie Keane scored four goals: "It was Four Keane Hell for Burnley"
  14. ooer. I bet that wasn't televised on normal TV :gay:
  15. Spurs are formidable at the moment and at WHL they are not going to be pushovers. This is going to be a hard task.
  16. Thanks for the info. It looks pretty useful. (Always thought a Minsk was a furry otter like thing that were used to make coats with)
  17. It is not the draw I would have liked to be honest. Spurs will be a tough nut to crack at WHL. What date is scheduled for the game? It won't be the same day as the R's play the gooners will it?
  18. And there was me thinking you were a Dai Davis fan iggy.
  19. Remember how good Richard Gough was for us, and he was virtually a pensioner when he signed. There were calls from some fans to try and persuade him to play on at the end of his career. So I have no problems at all with Distin's age. After all a good central defender can last a lot longer than most other positions.
  20. Just as a serious question here cos I dunno the answer. But Can we sign Jo on a permanent basis now the window has closed? I mean he is registered with us as a loan player, but if we want him and want to tie him to the club, do we still have to wait for the next window? I am not sure how this works.
  21. Neville is what all professional footballers should be. I don't know who he actually supports, but he is an Everton player and he gives everything for the club, both on and off the pitch. I wish all footballers were like that. Whatever the future holds for him, I for one am grateful he came to us.
  22. I dunno much about Borisov (Or however you spell it) But I am hopeful he won't be missed too much.
  23. Hopefully there will be no changes to the team. They are doing well just now. I am feeling fairly confident... a bad sign I am afraid, I always feel confodent at the wrong time. By the way I will not be able to travel to the game due to illness, is it on the telly?
  24. It is all very well to say we should buy Dimitar Van Nostrilboy (Thank you Aviva for the name) BUT Would said player be available, and would he come to us at all. I think posing the question is .... umm as Mike said, naive. Especially as the transfer window has only just closed. As for selling players on the off chance we could sign someone better. That frankly sounds very poor policy. How about we buy first and then sell what we don't need? (I wasn't going to put a response on this thread but it iritated me a bit)
