  1. if we don't win (which we will) then I reckon you'll still get trollied!
  2. many Liverpool fans are supporting us this weekend. Certainly a few I've seen on forums and spoken to round home. Their probably not banging their drum about it everyhwere though!
  3. White Hart in Guernsey. If there's any other Guernsey folk on here make sure you get yourself down there so we can out number the Chelski boys. 9am is Setanta start time and 2pm I'll get myself to the pub.
  4. let us know if you find any straggler Manure fans filling up the fountains with their tears unable to move from shock of being pounded back down to earth!
  5. I've voted Jags, no doubt on that one. I seconded Piennar and third Cahill. Have gone Fellaini young choice though no one really thinks of him as a young choice, reminds us all how young he is. Think he's got better and better myself and should be much better as he gets used to the league next season. Rodders second choice, looks a definate one for the future and Moyes knows it. Gosling third, looks lively and not scared to shoot which is good. Gosling not as prove as Rodwell as yet though.
  6. arsenal ladies looked poor agaisnt sunderland in cup final. Amusing hearing the manager slating his own team during the match as well! saying that was probably just an off day against a dogged second division side. COME ON GIRLS!
  7. Gosling for me, worked hard, looked very good when attacking the defence despite being on his wrong side. Once again looking like a great prospect.
  8. ashame to see his mistake lead to the goal, very poor pass from him but they shouldn't have been able to get through from where it went to so easily. Hopefully that's not the last we'll see of him in an England shirt. Not easy to break in as an England centre back and any mistake will be noted.
  9. Jags as well for me. If i could be bothered to read the above posts at the moment i'd prob just say as above! Torres looked throughly pissed off for the whole match after gerrard wetn off, he lacked service and the service he did get Jagielka dealt with amazingly. Not just beating him to the ball but having the confidence to turn him for dead and either play it round him or easily get it back to the keeper. Torres is a top class striker who wasn't having the best of days but his day was pretty much decided by Jags. Awesome stuff and I hope Capello noticed that quality tonight.
  10. no one else. Lucas goes out...clearly Moyes definately didn't think he was ready, never wanted to bring him on from the bench, hopefully some more experience will do him good
  11. what chances you reckon of game going ahead, our drainage and undersoil heating is good but with snow and rain forecast in Liverpool for the next 5 days with 2 degree max temperature forecast for Wednesday. Glad I didn't decide to book the flights and tickets to go to the game now as it could have been an expensive wasted trip
  12. we've got most of the big guns out of the way but the fighting relegation games could be even harder this season. So many teams needing those points and no teams going to be in mid table obscurity. should make for some very tough games.
  13. I know this is a pretty worthless effort but i'm looking to go to the FA Cup replay next wednesday and the only way i can get a ticket is through the Thompson fan travel thing that is £130 including hotel for night. as i'm also having to pay £120 for plane (from channel islands) to gatwick and train (£55) i'd love to bring it down to something resonable by getting ticket and accomodation below £100, if anyone can help me out with a ticket and even better, some sleeping space i'd be very very happy! I don't expect anything from this as tickets i'm sure will be hot property. In return on top of the cost of tickets all I can offer is cheap duty free ciggies and spirits. If anyone has 1 ticket they can offer i'd be eternally grateful! In any case if I do come along i'll definately be looking to find some of you guys pregame for a drink or two!
  14. dissapointing performance but it'll do i guess! Dissapointed Moyes didn't make changes earlier but then if we'd scored a second goal he'd probably have made the changes. Macclesfield didn't create much but 1-0 just isn't enough in a cup tie and with 1 in the first half we shouldn have finished it in the second half. Macclesfield played ok but we just weren't creating anything. Just a thought on the Fellaini yellow card situation, surely we'd rather have him suspended for the Hull game than any of the other 3 games? Could it not have been an idea to bring him on and get him booked now? Otherwise he should have done it last week!
  15. a bit worrying. I think Moyes would be very reluctant to accept an offer of 10 or 12mill but I think Arteta would be very keen to go so that he could play the kind of football he wants to play with like minded players and manager. However on the other side of it for Arteta, he'd be Fabregas replacement so would only have a couple of months guaranteed in the side before probably dropping to the bench. He's played pretty well this season though his crosses from open play and free kicks are very hit or miss and he can slow the game too much at times when were needing pace. But there's no way i'd want us to lose him, he works hard all over the pitch, the good deliveries are very good, he can talk the language of every football player we hae and may buy in the future and as has been said we wouldn't be able to replace him for anywhere near that price, especially with someone proven in the Premiership.
  16. I think we'll get 3 against Hull, 1 against the Shites, 3 against Arsenal and 1 against Man Ure. Yes i think we can go unbeaten through January, i'm being optomistic but at the moment the shites are the biggest concern. Arsenal are very beatable, Hull are losing form and dropping off now and Man Ure are struggling to score goals. Only thing I can say about the other side is that they're due their usual drop in form sometime soon!
  17. I wouldn't have said it's a real killer of a blow for them to change a goal to an own goal. I don't really care if Piennar scored or if it was an own goal for what it's worth. Shame for the lad but i'm sure he'll get over it and try to make sure he hits it on target next time!
  18. Well scaredy cat moyes has gone with one of his youth signings today so it'll be interesting to see how he does, weather he looks ready for it and weather he's good enough. Good luck to you Gosling lad
  19. I think the Chelsea/paper guy interviewed on the site is right about the reason Chelsea hve such a good away record and we should be looking to play up to it. When people go to Stamford Bridge they put everyone behind the ball and look to counter. Chelsea seem to struggle to break teams down when they play like that while away from home teams come out and try to play allowing Chelsea to find gaps and score. While I don't want to see us play boring everyone behind the ball game, it could be the most likely way we'll get a goal. After all I don't see us breaking down their defence anyway other than from a set piece so counter attacks are as good a way to pick up corners and free kicks as any. I see tickets still on sale for the game by the way.
  20. well played i'd say. i only saw 20 minutes of first half which was highly entertaining especially for neutral as was some good end to end stuff. Second half was pretty dull, what I enjoyed was that Man City weren'a ble to stamp and home team authority on the game. Very few chances in second half either side. A Bit dissapointed that no subs were brought on. of course most wanted to see VDM on again today, Jurcievitz (awful spelling!) should have played some part mainly because if we've got no fit strikers he needs to be able to step into the side with some confidence. Not even Baines gets to come on. Of course a 0-0 draw with Man City would have been a good result but I still think a like for like swap with VDM or J would have been worthwhile. good result though and well played, I think had we had Saha or Yakubu a goal would have come earlier, not necessarily from them but the difference a striker can make who can hold the ball and help get things going for the midfield.
  21. almost spot on!!! stop andy for another out of favour player and you've got your side!
  22. wasn't saha injured? I pressume Yak is injured now and Saha and Anichebe not fully fit. Hopefully Yak's injury's not bad.
  23. only one player in it really isn't there. Howard because of the couple of saves he made in the first half, feel sorry for him that the defence in front of him aren't doing their job well enough. No one else of any note really, interesting to see cahill putting balls in the box but then he's the man you want on the end of it, didn't play terrible but don't feel he looks all that comfortable whre he's being played. Fellaini had his moments. Impressed with the way Arteta got back to defend of all things when Lescott (suprise suprise) was too far up but his attack play was poor, he's too slow on the ball and his crosses aren't good enough.
  24. Absaoutely fucking useless. hardly any chances, no one looks like scoring, defence are all over the shop and if Wigan could finish they'd have scored a couple in the first half. Anyone know what was wrong with vaughan. and why did moyes think bringing on an ex wigan defender would be a good move in the last 10? We had Jukewvitz (however it's spelt) on the bench, he might not have played any games in the league for us but he's a striker for fuck sake and can score goals. We've been lucky with some good spirited finishes late on recently but now we've been shown up. A good first 20 minutes but no real creativity then sloppy slow and lacking in ideas.
