  1. i found out the slow way for the benfica game mate. ended up getting them in benfica end (right next to away seats). you need to sign up for the Everton Travel club. http://www.evertonfc.com/europeantravelclub/ You purchase it once logged into the site for £5. You then register for tickets...i've not done this before though having joinned too late but do that first bit then have a look. If your a season ticket or Everton tv member it's free.
  2. "the beard" I took a rare trip to Bluekipper and found much discussion on the game. A few people have been buying from the website which as it happens is completely open to anyone to buy tickets from. There's a block in the section Bancada tmn in piso 3 inferior and superior on the far left that people are buying in which is currently completely empty but adjoins on to the Everton block. Not sure if Benfica will cause any hastle with people doing this but as I'll be buying through a friend in Portugal I shouldn't have any problems. Block 40 is the one if your interested. You need to get through a bit of translation on the way but it's not too difficult.
  3. Can anyone tell me if I HAVE TO be in the European travel club to have any chance of getting tickets for games in Europe? I'm going to the Benfica game and would love to get tickets in the Everton end though I would be bottom of the pecking order I'd like to know if I will have any chance so that I know weather to just get my mate who lives in Lisbon to go get tickets or wait on me trying first. Anyone else going to the game at all? I'm going to Madrid for 2 nights before hand before going to Lisbon for a few days.
  4. would I swap a very decent left back and even better attacking wing back for one of our two new players to play them out of position? Obviously not! Primarily neither are left footed, I don't know how good eithers left foot is but I'd hazard a guess at not as good as Baines. Baines has a great understanding with Piennar and if Piennar is back next week then he will be back attacking with him. Defeinsively he makes his mistakes but he's not a bad player at all. I don't know how you can knock Distin, he's look rock solid in the games I've seen and that's having come straight into the side and having not had the same defeinsive partner all the time. He's tight defensively, can play the ball around a bit and is as quick as most of the opposition attack.
  5. fuckin everton website commentary just died, it's still streaming but there's no sound. right in the middle of stoppage time.
  6. unfortunately I think they use up all their efforts and budget making Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Red Shite players look proper. (someone may prove otherwise when they show me any other clubs though!
  7. I disagree, I thought he was solid in the middle and did his role well. He didn't let them have any time down the middle, got stuck into the challenges well as well. Hibbert did ok but I couldnt' possibly give him MOM, they put everything down our right hand side and both him and Gosling looked beatable every time. They only other players I thought looked any worth was Bilya, but it wasn't his best game, his corners weren't very good and no one was really making any worthwhile moves for him.
  8. the bottom one is definately Distin, he looks resonably like him and Yobo has his fat lips and slight tach going on. I'd never have guessed that was supposed to be Rodwell! heitinga I haven't seen enough of to really know but didn't guess at him either.
  9. i thought FIFA looked really realistic when I saw the posters for it, seeing these they look awful! i don't recognise half of them and they all look completely wrong. Distin is about the most resonable looking and Saha looks ok. Neville looks like he's been chasing the rainbow for a good while with no sleep!!! Who's number 3 and number 8 supposed to be? I can place them at all

    Pompey

shame bilya's not starting in the prem yet but not complaining at bringing him in slowly if were getting results.
  11. over 1000 posts but still not learnt to check things properly before posting them. horrific!
  12. ooopppsseeyyy!!! clearly the "chuckle early morning" should have read "not awake early morning" Oh well...I booked my trip to Lisbon last night so will be seeing the mighty free scoring toffee's taking on Benfica in a months' time!
  13. Nothing too substantial but it made me chuckle early in the morning. Louis believes Pompey will be a tough game, in no small part to Harry Redknap being manager! You'd think the guy interviewing him or the person putting the information on the website might have spotted this quite major error before putting it up there! http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/saha-expecting-tricky-test.html "Despite both clubs' recent fortunes, Everton striker Louis Saha says victory over Portsmouth on Saturday is far from a forgone conclusion. The Blues have scored 11 goals during the last three games and kept successive clean sheets in each of those fixtures, while Saturday's opponents are in limbo. Although they have progressed through two rounds of League Cup football, they have not collected a point in their opening six Premier League games. Yet Saha thinks Everton’s players will have to work hard for a result at Fratton Park. “They are struggling a little bit but they're a difficult team to play against,” he said. “They have lost a couple of good players and obviously a great manager in Harry Redknapp as well. “But at the same time, we have to remember that the Premier League is in its early days and they will be looking for their first points. I look forward to a great game. It would be nice to win." "
  14. would be good to see us walk over pompey, they're there for the taking at the moment and we've got to keep this goal scoring confidence and solid defence up.
  15. Hibbert left back?!?! Presumably to enable him to cut inside when he's driving forward and unleash a shot or two!!!
  16. EASY EASY EASY!!! Hope we don't perform at Fratton like we did last time, I went there feelin rough and left feeling even worse last year, things looking on the up for us at the moment though. 11 goals in 3 games and counting!
  17. it's on the offical site if your a subscriber
  18. a lot of Carling cup games are often not televised anywhere around the world. However this link here have it listed that it will be on http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/
  19. hows Heitinga been playing at right back?
  20. shame bilya's out after 1 game. hopefully be back next week, groin problem shouldn't see him out long.
  21. are we now complaining that we have too much cover? wonders never cease!
  22. yeah good read, interesting to read about Tosh who'd I'd only ever really known of through playing as Everton on Football Manager! Hopefully he can keep good coaches coming through to bring our youth through once he stops coaching.
  23. there's nothing to appeal against, he lashed out and so got sent off. It doesn't matter what the other guy did, Saha got his sending off for lashing out and that's that.
  24. I thought Fellaini was very good as well. worked hard, very tidy, played ball round well, battled for the ball, layed off to others well. No complaints as far as i'm concerned, I'd give him an 8. Saha's sending off, I didn't notice what made Saha lash out but you can't lash out no matter how minor a swing it is, the player made a huge issue of it which is a shame but he was stupid to lose his temper at that point in the game. good performance all round I'd say. I thought Jo looked very poor in the first half but picked up a bit with second half with Yakubu though I didn't like seeing Yakubu far left all the time and would have prefered to see Jo taking that role in a 2 or 3 man strike force.
  25. it's 3-0 stop moaning! gives moyes a chance for a rare chance at 4-4-2 and gives him a rest before hopefully starting on Sunday. about good players don't need time to settle in, I totally disagree when it comes to being in different leagues in different countries. even some of the best players in the world have taken a while to settle in to different leagues with different players. He played 5 minutes in his previous game
