We still have a week so if he goes now (which I agree will be a mistake for him and Chelsea), then we still have time to get the right players in. I think Kevin Thelwell, Lampard and the Team have done an ok job so far, I trust them allot more to get the right players in, I think they have targets lined up. We have been fucked over by PSG and Ajax in those two deals, not really their fault. Lets just see what happens, its going to be interesting.

I agree DCL is key, the others are important to a matchday squad because of the qualities they bring.

I think he goes without saying. We will go back to playing 4 at the back in some games, Frank likes to be tactically flexible, but even in a 5 mad defence you need different players for different games. Doucoure gets into the side when playing well because of his ability to get foreword and pose a goal threat and his energy and physicality. Alan has energy and can read the game, plus he gets around the pitch and is great at tackling. Certainly an option. Godfrey is an option, he is a very good defender, just needs a run of games, he also has pace and can bring the ball out of defence, the ideal player to have in a 5 man defence. Mina, when fit is one of the best defenders we have.

I think people need to, panic more, or maybe be less patient, but certainly have an over simplified view of the transfer market. Or people could just wait, we do not know who we have approached, or what has been agreed, Everton tend to do business in private and not leak. The information we have comes from so called ITK's, which is quite unreliable. We need to wait until after the transfer window to judge, we don't know what other clubs' or agents are involved or how. We are operating with imperfect information, and acting or forming opinions based on imperfect information rarely leads to sound conclusions.

Unlikely, it would be a PR disaster, Ajax are tough negotiators so maybe a tactic or chance to say goodbye. Patience is needed.

Well done mate. Have to disagree with you though, I think considering the injuries and lack of signings we need to play 5 at the back with attacking wingbacks. Thought we were unlucky, had 19 shots, should have scored at least 3, when we have a striker we will score goals. We just have to support the team and stay positive, we will be in a better place after the window and we have key players back.

I like Gray, I think he is a very good player, very underrated.

We just have to hold our nerve, the new DOF and Lampard have done well with our signings so far, we have been unlucky with injuries, but we should have signed a striker as a priority. Everyone knows we need a striker so I can only assume the players we want were unavailable, out of our price range or clubs waiting for other deals. Its tough, but being an Evertonian is a constant diet of tough. When the window is over we will know, I trust that we will sign at least one attacking midfield, 1 defensive midfield and a striker and keep Gordon. If we sell Gordon then add at least two more players to the incoming. We just have to wait, stiff upper lift time!!
