  1. He has played well and settled into a new back 4. He is going to have a very good season for us I think. Plus he is an Everton player, gets the club, gets the fans, is a good man, very happy with him as left back.
  2. The thought of Iwobi not playing in our midfield scares me. Considering where he came from that is an amazing turnaround. So much respect for him as a player and a person. he made me eat my words. Hope we get him tied to a longer contract when the time is right.
  3. I think Coady and Tarks, and all the defense for that matter cover for each other which is great, they are a proper unit, and will get better with every game. Coady will help players like Godfrey improve, he has obvious physical and footballing talent that Coady and Tarks will sharpen with their experience.
  4. He just had a poor game, it happens, especially with young players. He found it hard to get into the game as everything went through Grey, who played very well. I'm sure Frank, Coady and the squad know how to handle it, and I think being subbed was the right thing. If we could hold off on the pitchfork and dunking instincts for a bit, and see it for what it was, a bad game, that would be nice.
  5. He is more settled confident now. People make better decisions when they have confidence in themselves and those around them. We are seeing that from Iwobi and other players now Frank and Co are in charge.
  6. We could resource it, as football is not that resource heavy. Most of the fixtures would be on a Saturday, some officers would be needed Sunday night to secure the route and key areas. Monday would be the big day. There may be some mutual aid but we have planned this for years. But yes it would be a stretch.
  7. I don't think it's that so much, the national reaction has been one of sadness and happy reflection on her life. I think it's more the optics of football being played and hundreds of thousands of football fans cheering and enjoying themselves just before the funeral could look out of place.
  8. It's going to be a tough decision to play next weekends fixtures just before the funeral.
  9. It highly probable that all fixtures will be cancelled this weekend, and more than likely next weekend too due to the period of mourning. I just can't see fixtures taking place, and I'm not a royalist.
  10. Would like to keep him as cover. Good impact player, not on high wages. Good man to have around the club.
  11. I think he is done at Ajax, but I agree if he lights up the Champions League, teams with European Football may be more attractive. Just have to wait and see.
  12. If we can retain some sort of (legal) contact we can try again in the next window or two. This lad has real talent.
  13. It's Potter as they play great football, or Potch.
  14. Playing well tonight, very good link up play, smart runs and, a definite presence.
  15. Clickbait. Pretty much most fans from most teams hate him because he is a dick, and talks jizz. But fans click on his "Team of the week" just to be angry at him. Dick.
  16. I don't think they were shit, I mean Iwobi has been immense in midfield, Davies has played well, but I take your point until we had Onana with a couple of games under his belt we were "Challenged" in midfield shall we say. Now with Gana and Garner, plus Doucoure and Alan to come back we have a very strong midfield. I also think it took time for Coady and Tark and the whole back 4 and Pickford to gel, and he wanted them to have extra protection.
  17. Can we do a reset on the poll please so we people can have another vote now the window is closed?
  18. I watched it, just confirms what a bright, intelligent young coach he is. He also comes across as someone who really gets the club, and has fallen for us. So glad he is our manager, gives me hope for the future.
  19. Having thought about it, Maupay is a good signing, he is a good player, technically he is very good, as you would expect playing in a Brighton Team, he is good at finding space and working defenders. Plus his hold up play is effective as he can take the ball to feet at pace really well. I am happy with him as a back up / alternative, he is a good player
