  1. To be fair, if the majority of LFC fans can afford to fly in from Norway and Denmark every week, they've probably got a few bob
  2. Presumably stumping up some cash in this window is our attempt to keep him and demonstrate we'll try to match his ambition for a couple of more seasons yet
  3. Fair play to the club and Moyes. Who knew about this? Kept it well under the radar so no chance of anyone getting in and trying to gazump us! Looks like a top signing, fingers crossed for the lad. Get Gibbo back in a week and we're looking strong again. Just need someone to start knocking em in
  4. This is the points table for the last 15 games of last season, we got 27 pts. If we can replicate that sort of form then we can finish above Spurs and Chelsea, esp when the Europa League kicks in again! Obvs fixture list will be different but gives an idea. Aaarggghh, can't seem to embed the table but essentially............. Arsenal 33 points Everton 27 points Chelsea 22 points Spurs 20 points
  5. We've kept 2 clean sheets after having a PL record of consecutive games with goals conceded but have become more impotent up front. Just shows how much we needed Jelavic and Gibson last January as without them we're struggling. Admittedly, we're only 'without' Jela in terms of his form. Gibbo could be back for West Brom, Mirallas back in the team with Vic and we'll be a lot more offensive, depends if we go back to being porous again. We could do with a player or 2 to come in and freshen things up to get us moving again.
  6. 40 grand a week? He must be on more than that to put off so many clubs? Cahill would cost that for a loan.
  7. Unfortunately the way the game is, clubs don't seem to have a problem securing managers no matter how ridiculously they behave. Look at Southampton. Absolutely outrageous - but the timing good for us!
  8. With Guardiola going to Bayern, it makes a position in Germany seem more attractive and more likely
  9. Interview in the Daily Record......... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/duncan-ferguson-says-the-sfa-cost-1542759 " It was a fantastic 20-odd years I’d had but it hit me like a train to know I was no longer going to be an Everton player"
  10. Its a credit to our scouting system that we've watched him 5 times already, seeing as he's only played 20 times. Lets be honest, how many of us knew he was a prospect? Fair play to the lad, looks like he has a great attitude and I hope he does well. And I'd like to hope he does well with us.
  11. A stint on loan would do Tolis the world of good - get him playing from the start in competitive matches and he should be able to boss Championship defenders around. One of the problems he has is that we prefer to play 1 up front and for that you need a goal poacher/clinical striker type of player e.g. Jela, Suarez, Ba, and Tolis isn't just that type of player. While we persist with the current tactic in the majority of games, he's unlikely to get many starts. More likely to come off the bench when we need to change things. Clearly, we need to bring in another striker to support Jela and allow Tolis to go on loan.
  12. Ossie didn't even make his debut until he was 21. Like Barkley he had a bad injury that set him back a year and then he had spells with Carlisle (in the 3rd tier) and Derby County (in the 2nd tier) and then started to get onto the bench for the first team. I know we're hopeful that Ross will be the next big thing but there is no need to rush him. Let him develop at his pace and then we can reap the rewards.
  13. I'll refer you to Marco at 10.53am today. Blue tinted specs and all that.
  14. Liverpool in the last minute of the Derby??
  15. If Moyes did decide after the January transfer window that the club's ambition does not match his, which club would he be looking at joining that would match his ambition? Looking at this article, there are only 12 club jobs in the world that are paying more than Everton! http://www.pluriconsultoria.com.br/uploads/relatorios/PLURI%20Especial%20-%20Treinadores%20mais%20caros%20mundo.pdf

  17. Yes, I remember thinking that Tim Howard had scored as many league goals as most of our strikers!! We're undoubtedly better going forward this year. I think that the supposedly tougher games coming up will suit us better than those we're expected to win easily.
  18. Or Gibson. Our dip over the last 2-3 weeks has coincided with a number of our most influential players being unavailable. No coincidence there. It's also coincided with Jelavic being not so prolific as he has been to date. All strikers have a lean spell - wait until Suarez has his
  19. I didn't get around to reading if the sarcasm font has been implemented so I've got a horrible feeling you're not joking

Maybe we can get her to do a stint at Schalke? I'm thinking it must be better than the tea at GP on match day!!

Ha ha. I bet Moysie would swap all his Manager of the Month awards for yours any day of the week
  22. Seems it's not just Everton that have had their issues with Communications in recent times. Thank heavens we'd never plumb the depths that the RS sink to. Who would ever have guessed that they were paranoid underachievers..........? http://duncanjenkins.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/such-little-thing-makes-such-big.html Dynamite stuff

Take your point and I have no problems with your line up. I think though that if Fellaini is unavailable (and it looks like he may be fit) that Moyes will go with Neville instead of Naismith with Mirallas and Ossie interchangeable on the right and in the hole. ---------------------Howard Coleman------Jags-------Distin------Baines Osman--------Neville----Gibson-----Pienaar ---------------Mirallas -----------------------------Jelavic
  24. His agent was unusually coy. People in glass houses..............

When was the last time we played 4-3-3. And Johnny at right back? Come on, I'm a big Heitinga fan but he got murdered by pace at Wigan. And Mirallas in front of Pienaar down the left? That would stifle them both. Apart from that........
