  1. Maybe not publicly - unless he knows he's going and there's no way back.
  2. Absolutely need him and I am pleased he's still here.
  3. Considering the financial constraints we were under, I think this has been a good window. Every area of the team needed an upgrade, really; that was never going to happen. The essential area did. The players going out were either crap or never going to play. The squad looks leaner but better. Always a risk with injuries, of course, but you have to accept that.
  4. He was, quite honestly, one of the standout turds in that shitshow, so I will be very glad to see him gone.
  5. If all goes according to plan, we will have to rename the thread The Great Everton Recovery. Phillips in, another winger in on the last day. Underperforming, expensive deadwood out. Let's hope so.
  6. I echo all that - and feel the same about Gray (who I guess just needed the 'e' to fulfil his potential). What a difference it would have made.
  7. We were after Gnonto, which would have made four. With our current injury crisis, I wouldn't bank on everyone being available! The ability to change things from the bench is also something we don't have. If we can get a deal like the Beto one - payment next year - I'd be very much for it. Sulemana's pace would complement Beto perfectly on the counter.
  8. Haven't felt this excited about a forward signing since Lukaku! A proper CF at last! Right age, right height, right build. If we get him the service (McNeil and Harrison, please), he will score the goals. Genuinely think this is the turning of the tide.
  9. Now, come on, those sentences are separated by a full stop!
  10. Absolutely. We can't afford to keep throwing games away. If Gray is still available, he needs to play. And Keane needs to be dropped.
  11. Off the pitch, certainly. On the pitch, last year was points-wise our worst ever. Early 90's was horrendous, too.
  12. No idea what's going on here, but this is my pattern.
  13. Circumstances very different now. A week left in a transfer window and we still need a CF. That 9 million shortfall is going to look pretty insignificant when we go down (you did say this was the season you thought it was going to happen).
  14. Just pay the goddamn money - if available, the guy is quality.
  15. Normally businesses the size of Everton have a team of corporate lawyers advising on everything. Northridge acted on Moshiri's behalf in 2016 and 2018, 'providing a range of industry specific advice from law to tax to data analytics'. Are they still on board? What on earth are they doing? Is BK using his own people? He can't be controlling all the levers, surely? Moshiri has kept him on for some reason despite it being clearly antithetical to the interests of the club and his own investment.
  16. You could well be right. The fans don't deserve it; the board do.
  17. It would be impossible for him to do less than Maupay for us, so that's a cautious positive, but he is a long, long way from being the quality striker we need. Another 15 million down the drain for me.
  18. His lawyer's statement today says he was cleared of all charges. The charges were actually dropped by the CPS, a very important distinction. United would have been aware of the circumstances why a key witness dropped out. The fact they were about to welcome him back before the recent surge of negative publicity shows how mercenary they are.
