1. I dont agree with writing people off before theyve had a chance to prove themselves
2. I dont agree with slagging people formally asssociated with the club for no real reason

To be fair Spurs are struggling for wingers at the moment, think they are down to their last half dozen.

From me it's more sarcasm than a genuine opinion on his talent. I'm equally sick of people writing a player off after 60 minutes' football. Same thing with Kone, 79 minutes played and written off before his injury. This despite already proving his quality in the league last year. Not saying either player is a world beater, just a bit sick of the negativity creeping in around here on nearly every thread

Absolutely pointless keeping him, IMO.

If he doesn't become an England regular then either the England manager's during his career are idiots or something has gone drastically wrong for him.

We won't see the full Martinez effect until probably this time next season when he's got more of 'his' players. The only comparison that can be made really is tactically and although it's clear that the Martinez style is easier on the eye, time will tell whether it's more effective long-term with productivity - I believe it will prove to be.
 
Hate to say it but look across the park at that red lot... Rodgers had a first season where they were asking what's changed but look at them now (still time for them to self-destruct - fingers crossed!!!)

A certain behaviour I see on forums is that the ego often gets in the way of being Balanced - I try to counter this as it is a natural instinct to want to be proven right...
 
Pidgeon holing players is pretty dangerous - just judge them on the game they have had - state what thery did well and didn't do well.
 
If someone comes out and says "pienaar is awful, not good enough" as opposed to "he hasn't done it for me of recent, maybe he's on the decline" - it makes it very difficult to give that plauyer credit when it is due.
 
For me an example would be accepting that Barkley has been poor recently - I have proclaimed him as the next great thing, so obviously these low level performances can make me look stupid - even more stupid would be to try and say he played well when he clearly didn't.
 
No one is gonna create a thread titled "Look at what Haf said which has been proven wrong" - at least I hope so... but lets make this a bit more adult and give credit where it is due when you may have pinned your colours to the mast previously.

Forget that - just slate him for being an awful right backi in the derby.....

Were you at the game Shukes? Because I assure you time and time again he had free men to pass to in good areas and he stopped, waited, waited, and then the pass wasn't on any more and we ended up having to go backwards. It was infuriating.
 
But, like I said, towards the end of the game he was brilliant. I don't know why there was a change but it was evident to me at least, and I hope that's the Pienaar that plays against Arsenal - dynamic and not pedestrian.

Genuinly a bit gutted. Was doing a great job for the club and i cant really remember such a "feel good" atmosphere surrounding the club in my lifetime really apart from the season we finished fourth.

I do get what you're saying and I'm sure most will agree with you rather than me. But Wigan and Swansea proved it can be done, Portsmouth too as I'm sure 'Arry never went route one either. But mixing things up when it's not working is definitely something that should be done I agree, as long as overall principles on how the game should be played remain the same. I would lose respect for Roberto if he shit himself if losing at the Emirates for example, and changed to long ball tactics. But he never would I don't think. Minor changes though, yeah I agree

He's a handy squad player at club level because he can play RB, CM, RM, etc. But he's a jack of all trades and master of none. So at international level I just don't think that's good enough. There are better options in all of his positions. But yeah I did go over the top in my view on him haha

There's a commment on the Sky Sports that points out, why is there 4 Keepers? whats the point?!
 
Cleverley is just an absolute joke of a selection. Milner as well. Lampard shouldnt be anywhere near the team anymore either, if your his age you have to be playing week in week out which is why i dont have a problem with Gerrard. Barry should be in over Lampard every day of the week.
 
Welbeck is just as shite but can have the odd game were you think hes quality so i can understand that as there isnt really anyone else. Smalling just isnt good enough either.
 
Funny that how half the United team are gash but selected for England.

I hope we are keeping an eye on Doumbia from CKSA Moscow. Im sure he's on a free in the summer.

Not a great record for Ivory coast and i know he hasnt played in the best of leagues before but i'd still take a punt on him personally. Think he would fit it in to our style of play a lot more than Lukaku does as well.
 
Ten, are you still keeping tabs on Baakali and Depay from PSV? Havent been able to see much of them this year.

Its an evolution not revolution, moyes had 11 years to evolve and didn't. We now have to endure this thread seeking the answers as to why Martinez hasn't revolutionised in a fraction of the time that Moyes didn't even evolve???
