Those companies will turn up because of the tourists not the locals (well Walmart was probably a bad example but you know what I mean). I think Cultural differences should be celebrated and not watered down. Countries can still work with each other is so many different ways without diluting what makes their people different and for me that is where EU integration should begin and end.

Globalisation is all well and good but then no one has a sense of identity, each country dilutes their culture and ultimately there will always be places where integration won't be accepted. I am completely for countries working together for the greater good but I actually like our cultural differences. The more integration that happens the less influential culture becomes. As a non EU example just watch how Cuba will change over the next few years. Instead of Cuban heritage being preserved like it has for the last however many years, it will slowly become another American annex with a McDonald's and Walmart on every corner.

I didn't realise Henderson was out as well. Regarding Baines in general, all of our LB's are bang average bar Rose. For me Baines is the solidest and I think he has been playing solidly. I'd have Bertrand next but I'm not really a fan of any other left backs in the league. I would also agree with the Carroll shout. It never hurts to have a different option in the squad especially as most other countries won't be used to the physicality he can bring.

It's the Scottish National Party not Independent. It's what's best for Scotland and not Independence at all costs. Every time I see them on TV every point they make goes back to Independence. They aren't even managing what they can very well. Their record in schools is pretty terrible for example. People have laughed off Davies not being good enough for England but I am looking for another box to box midfielder and I am struggling! You can always play another CB and move Dier forward and therefore make Henderson the box to box player but it's a struggle! Edit - Rose would definitely start but I don't think he is fit.
