Yeh he had to hit it on that touch otherwise the defenders would have put in a challenge. Thought he did pretty well considering he was at top speed, unbalanced and only missed by 1/2 an inch.

Very solid first half. Fellaini has perhaps been the biggest disappointment because he hasnt really influenced the game and if anything he has been a bit sloppy. Barkley, Mirallas, Piennar and eventually Kone have all linked up really well.

Yeh definitely. Its ruining the game in some ways. Bloody unlucky that from Kone.

Bit sloppy that. Barkley looses possession on the counter, we let them get a cross in too easily and Oviedo lets his man get a header in too easily.

I like that from Barkley there. he was looking to beat his man, but the defender did well so instead of wasting possession he lays it off to Hibbert who is in more space. Personally Im not a fan of Mirallas taking freekicks.

Blackburn cant deal with us at all and the only way they can stop us is by committing fouls.

Again lovely link up play and run from Kone but Gibson couldnt find him.

Barkley again hits one that looks like its going in before being deflected away. Maybe taking one too many touches but he is very lively and bright. His movement and his ability to turn on the ball have been top class.

Very unlucky for Barkley as he does really well to get his shot off (before being cleared off the line) and then Mirallas gets a big deflection and we go one up.

Kone is making lots of runs but we arent really bringing him into the game just yet.

The pace of play and the build up is impressive. Just need to make finish off the moves.

If you were spending £40mil on a striker, I personally would prefer to spend it on one that isnt going to be suspended for half of every season!

Haha class. I dont know if you were relating this post to Ten's or some of the other crap that has been posted on here. I think Ten's above was an amusing little joke about how things have changed and not an 'unclassy' dig. If your taking about some of the other posts then I agree.

I think Martinez is now just biding his time. It sounds like we have money to spend and I think he wants to see who can adapt and who cant. Once the US tournament has finished I would expect to see a couple out and at least one but maybe two come in. Judging my his press conference, I can definitely see a couple of the younger players step up. -
Sure its much harder but that doesn't stop well organised teams who buy smartly from reaching the top. Look at Dortmund for example and at the same time look how well the Sheiks money helped Man City last season. Yes money helps or course it does, but it doesnt mean that 'cheaper' teams cant compete if they do things the right way.

I thought both his spells were pretty decent. I thought he was very clinical and even thought he didn't really figure for the full 90 mins, he worked hard and made the most of the good positions he found himself in.

Yeh I'm sure he probably will go to Fergie. I'm not saying that talking to Giggs is stupid as such but I just seems a bit 'small time' (couldn't think of a better word!). I don't know many managers who would ask their staff how they should be managing their department etc. Anyway agree to disagree
