  1. I am certain that Round has been a key part of the way the side has kicked on this season. It understandably took time to settle into a new working realtionship between Moyes-Round and the overall set up but once this clicked, off we went. He hasn't had many plaudits but then I don't get the impression he seeks them. If we win on Saturday I reckon Moyes may then heap praise on Round. Keep up the good work basically..
  2. Dibble - I am sure you have already thought of this, but maybe try to find a comparable Chelsea site, join and then place a posting? Could be worth a try.
  3. This is important - he's going to be a very decent player and if we can keep him & Rodwell for long term they will save us a fortune and are unlikely to ever let us down whether as starters (which I anticipate in due course) or as subs.
  4. I have got a sneaking suspicion that Valente may just get the 7th place on the bench. Will Moyes give the likes of Wallace and Jose a place on the bench? With how long Valente has been out I know this goes against the approach Moyesie tends to take so I'm probably wrong on this one, just a feeling.
  5. We are all no doubt getting excited and the feeling is just going to build all week. Without wishing to be morbid, I did want to just remember young Rhys and his family in this week of all weeks. I am sure it will be a hugely emotional week (again) for the family. No doubt Rhys would have been making the trip to Wembley. I'm sure that Labby, Bally and Dixie will have Rhys sat in the best spot to look down on Saturday. Win or lose on Saturday, you're with us in spirit young fella.
  6. Good spot Lembot, this is a class programme!
  7. Thanks, appreciated and taken at face value. I hope you win the CL Final.
  8. Mike - source is in the FA. Not sure how good the chance is, its hard to know what the system is, though it is a legitimate process that they can go through.
  9. Less than 9 days away and I am still waiting for a call on whether I have been able to pull a ticket out of the bag. Man, this is stressful! I actually lay awake last night for quite a while stressing about it! Damn this getting to Cup Final malarkey!!
  10. We have to be honest and realistic with ourselves here. I don't know about anyone else, but through my career to date I have continued to move on and progress - both for personal career enjoyment and also for financial benefits. Football managers aren't that different really - they are still people. The hunger in him to succeed shines through. Hopefully we can win the Cup on 30th May and maybe see if we can continue to kick on. But I can understand why he would want to test himself against the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan, Barcelona etc and that means being in the CL regularly. I would love it if Moyes was to stay with us for many many years - but if and when he goes I'll never be anything other than gratfeul for what he has done for us and the pride he has given us back.
  11. The club have today put an update on the OS - season ticket holders with 3 credits and have applied, will get a Final ticket.
  12. And I am confident that when the statistics are looked at again in 5 years time we will be looking more healthy. This seasons is 3 years on the spin where we finish in the top 6 and if we can get 1 more league win this season, then once again we have achieved 60points. At some stage I have clearly had too much time on my hands, but the basic premise is that if you get 60 points you should qualify for Europe, 70points to have a shout at a CL place. In terms of the stats, how about looking at things another way? There are only 7 teams that have been in the Premier League since it started (United, Villa, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton). I think we all know that Arsenal & Everton have been in the top flight for the longest unbroken period (regardless of branding!). If Spurs win the race for 7th spot then this seasons top 7 reflects this. Some other sides that were in the first season of the Premier League - Norwich, Southampton, Oldham, Leeds and Wimbledon (if Millwall or Scunthorpe win play-off this season then all those sides will be in the 3rd tier next season - if you refer to Wimbledon as MK Dons that is!). It's probably just me, but kind of mildly interests me this kind of stuff!
  13. It is something like 22 games sice we beat Chelsea. I just think its a stat that is ripe for putting to bed, we must beat them sometime and fate would have it that we sort it in the biggest tie of the lot. Of course, if Chelsea end up playing in the CL Final 3 days before the FA Cup Final that would help too!
  14. Cameo Cup Final appearance and sets up or scores winner
  15. Am almost certain you cannot buy tickets from Fulham for the away end and would be same for any Prem game at all grounds. Often for our London games there are some tickets left about a week before the game for general sale but its always a wait and see. Can't judge this Fulham one - on the one hand its the last game of Prem season so we should sell our allocation easily but on the other hand many may be saving their money for the following weekend trip to WEMBLEY!! Not sure if that helps at all, but gives a sense maybe.
  16. I'll be sending a short email to the club to ensure that the club and Jags know exactly what comments are coming out. Like Mike, I remain gutted about this in the main for Jags.
  17. This is desperate for us as a side. But on this occasion you just have to feel for the player - to miss an FA Cup Final must be heartbreaking. Hope he makes a full recovery and we get him back for the majority of 2009-10. Given that we are now confirmed as being in Europe next season when are we going to start playing some kids. These players are so tired that injuries will happen more easily. At this rate, the kids will play the final.
  18. Got a feeling things may catch up with us tomorrow. Also think we need to rotate like crazy over the coming weeks - we haven't got many that we can throw in, but we have to ensure that the likes of Cahill, Osman, Pienaar, Baines, Lescott, Jags all get some level of rest - they can keep going but you can just see it catching up right at the crucial moment. Added benefit of giving the likes of Gosling, Rodwell, Baxter, etc some experience and giving Jacobsen and Castillo a better feel for the English game in case we need them for the Cup Final. 1-1 tomorrow.
  19. You will defo get to watch it in Rome. Do a Google search for now, but otherwise you will be fine on the day. Or find an English based website for Lazio or Roma fans and ask them.
  20. People are really mistaken if they think anyone will give us £25m for Arteta. If we were offered £15m then it would be a fair offer, regardless of whether its accepted or not. City unlikely to be in Europe next season so Arteta will be achieving little to go there. If he does go this summer I would expect it to be to Spain.
  21. What a great day. Our beloved, fantastic club are back. In terms of what this club has done over the past 7 years, we totally deserve this moment. A club with integrity, honesty, a clear strategy to go forward in a world where money talks. A set of players that give it their best (and lets not forget those that have done so with less reward than we have today such as Carsley, Stubbs, etc). The 15 minutes after the penalties in that ground was one of the best moments of my life. The songs, the joy. And then the time waiting to get into Wembley Park Tube Station and the songs...it willl stay in the memory. Peanuts, Neville, Jags, Baines and the Big Fella all did so well today. And mention for Jack when he came on - if we can keep hold of the lad, Jack is going to be an Everton legend. Stonewall penalty in my mid but United are big enough to know you don't get some and to move on. Rest the lot of them on Wednesday, lets not give Hiddink any clues! Well Done Blues and thank you.
  22. Have a great day tomorrow everyone, wherever you are. Sing up and back the players every step of the way...they have earned our backing. We are a fucking great club. BELIEVE
  23. The paragaph that Jimmy the Blue pick out is indeed a hugely important point here. Win or lose the semi final, the fact that someone recognises that this is what we are as a club, is a massive boost. Of course we want to win and win more, but its also about being a 'proper' football club - how we conduct ourselves, how we act with hoesnty and integrity. And top to bottom, we do. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.
