  1. Joey Barton.... Enough said. What a knob.
  2. www.foxsoccer.com <-------- Watching it live here in the states. Great stream.
  3. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11709/7726950/Eyes-on-Canaries-ace A free transfer, I think he would be decent cover but probably not a first 11 player. Maybe this means we would sell Jagielka? I like the Distin-Heitinga partnership but I realize that Distin is getting old, and doesn't have too many years left in him which makes me hesistant to sell Jags.
  4. Would anybody want to take a risk and give some more youngsters a chance? I know everyone wants to see Barkley play, but how about starting Duffy also? What about Vellios? I guess it's all a balancing act between putting out a strong enough side to hopefully get a result and also giving some youngsters a run out. I wish we played Wolves the last game of the year because we might've already earned 7th and could then experiment.
  5. If I recall not too long ago, everyone was high on Jarvis, and SharpysVolley just brought him up. I like him, along with Fletcher and Kightly. I'd consider Doyle if we were getting him for next to nothing. I like Stuart Holden (I'm biased towards Yanks), but he's still coming off of that knee injury thanks to flying Jonny Evans. I like Victor Moses, but his stock is bound to be pretty high right now, maybe Rodallega (Still has the ability, just had a shit year). If Villa go down, I like Stephen Ireland, but he may be above our price range and we already have a load of central midfielders, and then there's N'Zogbia, whose had a horrible year, but everyone wanted him last year, and maybe we could get him for fractions of what Villa paid for him, and try to get him on his feet again. If QPR go down, Bobby Zamora could be a good addition, or maybe Taarabt (maybe Moyes could kick him in the pants and get him playing consistently) or maybe even Joey Barton (He's still a wank)? Finally, Maybe Jussi Jaaskelainen if he was willing to be a backup.... That's just the player I like from the teams who could go down....
  6. I like Grant Holt, but he's obviously not a guy with a lot of pace...
  7. I always root for Blackpool and Holloway as a neutral, and enjoy his exciting attacking teams (And his willingness to say anything), but I'm not sure I'd want him at EFC. His teams can't defend, but to be fair, Blackpool's defenders were not anywhere near the quality of Baines, Jags, Heitinga, Distin or maybe even Neville and HIbbert.
  8. Read this, http://www.nufcblog.com/2012/03/10/7th-place-could-see-newcastle-qualify-for-europa-league/ Wouldn't that be applicable to our situation? Since Chelsea and Liverpool will already qualify, wouldn't 7th place get a Europa league spot? Even if it does, getting 7th will be tough (Or technically could 8th get it if Livepool finish 7th?) because we have some tough fixtures. In all likelihood, we will lose to Manchester Utd on Sunday, that leaves us with Fulham at home, which is a winnable fixture but a tough one, Stoke away which even though Stoke aren't playing that great, they are still very tough at Britannia, then Wolves away which we SHOULD batter them, and then Newcastle at home to finish the season which will be very tough (especially if they are fighting for a CL spot), if they are eliminated from CL contention at that point, maybe we can catch them in a down mood and beat them.
  9. Howard Webb will be the referee. He is a knob who always seems to favor the bigger club, but being Manchester United's 12th player, he can't side with Liverpool right?
  10. Wasn't Brad Jones in goal for Middlesbrough a few years ago when we played them in the FA Cup? If I recall, he made a real big mistake in his positioning which led to a Fellaini header for a goal.
  11. Baines. He hustled. Not much else though.
  12. Fucking shit. I can't believe this shit. Team selection was atrocious, and the players who did play played horribly. Can't think of anyone tonight who did a good job, and only a few seemed to even give a shit that there was a football match going on, much less the Merseyside Derby. What a disgrace, even a win in the FA Cup on Saturday won't relieve my frustration at the EMBARRASSMENT we witnissed tonight. What a disgrace.
  13. What a negative start. Puzzled by the team decision.
  14. I wonder if we could make more signings like this in the future, considering we don't have a lot of cash to spend on transfer fees. There are a lot of talented players who just can't break in at the Barcelona's, Man City's, Bayern Munich's, Real Madrid's of the world who could be good additions for us. Just a thought.
  15. The big difference is that one, Gibson aint costing us nearly $10m like Bily did, and two, Gibson has experience in English football.
  16. Yeah, except Jags isn't worth $20m like it seems everyone on the board and Moyes have valued him at. He's worth 12-15 tops. He's nearly thirty, has been in poor form lately, and is coming off an injury.
  17. ^ I don't see it happening. Weren't McManaman, Gerrard, and Carragher all Blues as kids?
  18. If Ross or any billionaire buying the club was willing to invest ANYTHING in the club, squad, stadium etc..., it would be better than Kenwright, who is totally unable to do so. Anyone willing to invest in the club and be financially responsible with us (unlike Leeds or Pompey), and isn't a total mad man like MIke Ashley would be better than Kenwright.
  19. In American Football, the teams are limited to how much they can spend (salary cap), so its not like English football where an owner can bankroll a team and spend hundreds of millions of pounds to sign the best players. Most teams will spend nearly the cap amount, so you can't really compare his NFL spending habits to what his EPL spending habits would be.
  20. Does anybody have a stream?
