  1. Finally... For God's sake it's taken over 2 years to figure out his future now... I guess I understand him going out for loan one year, but he should've been off last summer... Absolutely ridiculous...
  2. I'm not sure not winning a trophy should be such a slight. Let's be honest, We aren't going to win the league, or anything in Europe, so that limits us to the FA Cup and the League Cup... Arsenal hasn't won anything since 2005, Spurs have one cup win this decade (League Cup 2008). If you think about it, in recent years, the FA Cup has been dominated by the "big clubs", and there have been few exceptions to that trend (Pompey in 2008)... The League Cup has also been dominated by the big clubs (Not as much though), with the exceptions of Leicester, Birmingham, Middlesbrough, Blackburn... Let's be frank, we only have two real opportunities to win a trophy each year, and a single loss means elimination. Winning a Cup is not easy, and while we should absolutely give the Cups our full support, I can't say we or any other club in England can go into such a large tournament and EXPECT to come out with a trophy. Moye and Everton have not been a failure over the past ten years, and its amazing what he has done on such limited resources when people like City, Chelsea, United etc are all spending big money, and even clubs who used to be below us are now spending a decent amount of money to try to reach our level.
  3. I'm still angry we lost out on Pranjic... I feel like Jarvis would be a good left-side alternative to Pranjic (squad player)
  4. Vaughan had a lot of potential, but those glass knees have kept him from going anywhere with his career. If you all remember, Vaughan was heavily linked with a loan move to Celtic for the last six months he was with us, but I believe we played him in the derby, and was ineligible to go anywhere else other than Palace, where he'd been on loan earlier that season, so we loaned him back to Crystal Palace.
  5. I would love Dempsey here, I think he'd be effective here, and I think he's a Moyes type player, but I feel like his price tag will just be too much for us. I want Mucha to go, it's not doing him any good sitting on our bench, but we already released Hahnemann, so that'd be two keepers we'd need to sign (unless that one youngster is ready to be our #3).
  6. I don't believe it. Just another rumor. HOWEVER, to add details, those flight attendants were ones for Qatar Airways, and he posted a picture of Allianz Arena (1860 Munich and Bayern Munich groundshare)... So I wonder if he's trying to claim that we are being bought out buy a Qatari billionaire and going to groundshare with Liverpool. I still don't believe him.
  7. Ya know, I was thinking the same thing.... Just maybe. His scoring record was much better for us last year than in year's past.
  8. ^^^ He probably could offer us something, however he doesn't want to be here. He's made that VERY clear. Besides, I think Duffy should be our fourth centerback, and hopefully we can develop him further.
  9. 1. We can't go to Indonesia for awhile? What a great loss... lol 2. How come Galatasaray isn't being asked to pay damages. They backed out too. Didn't Marseille also back out of this tournament at one point?
  10. Incredibly sad to see him go. I've had his shirt for the past few years, a true Everton legend and a class act. Will miss him dearly, but I think it's the right time for him to move on.
  11. Not sure if that would work with MLS' designated player rule. Besides, Red Bulls are already paying a large sum of money to Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez's salary. Not sure if Cahill would be affordable.
  12. Yeah, but no one is willing to buy at that price clearly.
  13. Can't see it happening... I hope not. I'd only have him on after Duffy and maybe even Hammar.... I mean, I'd probably rather play Hibbert and Neville in the middle before him.
  14. To be honest, I really like these cheap signings. I mean, there is next to nothing to lose with them, and Moyes has proven that there are players out there (Vellios &Coleman) that are diamonds in the rough that we can find for next to nothing.
  15. Don't get me too excited.... The thought of bringing in Naismith, Pranjic, Pienaar, and Rodallega is too much. I mean think about it. My only worries is that with all those additions to the wage budget, will we have to sell one of our big names? Or maybe this is a sign that Cahill is going? (Direct Cahill debate to Cahill topic )..
  16. Dalziel, I am from Atlanta... Happy independence day to the Soloman Islands!
  17. Absolutely agreed. If we have to pay 5-6 million pounds and pay him 70k plus a week in wages, I'd rather not have him. That just doesn't make financial sense for the club...
  18. Interesting that he said McAleny and not Barkley or Baxter or Duffy.... I've always liked McAleny, hope he stays another few years before his future is decided.
  19. Interestingly enough, we have given Naismith number 14. The same number as James Vaughan. Apparently, 14 is a designated number for your talented, young striker with chronic knee problems....
  20. Great to see an addition prior to August 31st! He's a quality addition if his knees hold up. Welcome Steven!
  21. ^^^ Ya know what's weird, I find myself on FIFA playing like a Moyes team. I a lot of time play "negative" tactics, physical side, good from set pieces, good defensively etc... And I always find obscure players who turn out to be gems. I guess watching Moyes has affected me
