I'm not sure not winning a trophy should be such a slight. Let's be honest, We aren't going to win the league, or anything in Europe, so that limits us to the FA Cup and the League Cup... Arsenal hasn't won anything since 2005, Spurs have one cup win this decade (League Cup 2008). If you think about it, in recent years, the FA Cup has been dominated by the "big clubs", and there have been few exceptions to that trend (Pompey in 2008)... The League Cup has also been dominated by the big clubs (Not as much though), with the exceptions of Leicester, Birmingham, Middlesbrough, Blackburn... Let's be frank, we only have two real opportunities to win a trophy each year, and a single loss means elimination. Winning a Cup is not easy, and while we should absolutely give the Cups our full support, I can't say we or any other club in England can go into such a large tournament and EXPECT to come out with a trophy. Moye and Everton have not been a failure over the past ten years, and its amazing what he has done on such limited resources when people like City, Chelsea, United etc are all spending big money, and even clubs who used to be below us are now spending a decent amount of money to try to reach our level.
