  1. I'm not sure Spurs is the right job for Moyes. However, I'll toss out an obscure name that I'd love to see hear but acknowledge will never happen and is so obscure, we'd never even be linked with this guy. Marcelo Bielsa.
  2. Think about all the creative players Spurs have: Lennon, Bale, Modric, Pienaar, Van der Vaart, (Krancjar just left, but he was creative), David Bentley before his career went to hell. Who are our creative players? Ossie is the only real "creative" player we have... Arteta and Pienaar both left and Drenthe blew his chance..
  3. I love Rakitic. Great player... Never coming here though.
  4. http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/6bgNny/menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1581193_three-premier-league-clubs-fighting-for-manchester-citys-out-of-favour-winger-adam-johnson?rss=yes I just don't see it happening, we don't have near enough money to buy him. The only way we could afford him is by selling Felli or Baines at a high price... I'd much rather have Pienaar at 3 to 6 million than spend over 10 on Johnson. I could see him ending up at Sunderland.
  5. I'd fly to Germany from the States and carry him to England. I'd absolutely love to have him, but I just don't think we have the money for him. Young talent, so I imagine he'd be worth a big transfer fee for Schalke.
  6. Agreed! I think I mentioned him a week or so ago somewhere on this forum! I think he'd make an excellent partner for Jelavic.
  7. I would think so but I don't know if we could afford the fee for him!
  8. Look at Tim Cahill, he's now KitBag and the incompetent Everton board of directors.
  9. Why hasn't Tony Pulis and Stoke signed Holt up already? He fits perfectly into their system of having Rugby players play football! I'm shocked Pulis hasn't signed up Holt and maybe Joey Barton, but then again, Barton's a halfway decent footballer which usually rules a player out of going to Stoke. But seriously, the type of play that Holt and Kevin Davies and others use isn't pretty, and they aren't good technical footballers, but it works for weaker sides like Bolton, Norwich, etc who can not afford to go out and spend 10 million pounds on a top quality goal scorer.
  10. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7797406/Silva-open-to-Portugal-return Ya know, on FIFA (totally inaccurate) he's not that bad. I wonder if he's not that good because it doesn't seem he's had a sniff of a chance at getting into the first team here... In fact, he's been on loan more than he's actually been at home it seems, then again he's older, so first team play elsewhere is probably better for him than training here and Reserve team play. Has anyone on this forum actually seen him play?
  11. We will see! I bet if he's a starting XI striker wherever he ends up, he'll score more than 8...
  12. I know I'll get slammed for saying this, but if the price were right (Nowhere NEAR 4 million pounds), I'd take Grant Holt... He scored 15 goals last year, which shows that he at least knows where the net is and is a better 2nd striker option than anything else we've got. Personally, I don't care how a striker scores goals, whether it be through ridiculous physicality, or great positioning, or speed and agility as long as they are able to score, or link up with another striker and set them up to score. That's just me. That being said, I'd take Grant Holt for a free definitely, and maybe 1 to 2 million, but Norwich would never let him go for that price, and 4 million is too much for him in my opinion.
  13. Apparently there are multiple clubs named "Al Nasr" in the Middle East. I just saw an article linking Cahill to the UAE Al-Nasr instead of the Saudi Al-Nasr. This might make more sense, as fellow Australian Mark Bresciano plays for the club, and clubs in the UAE seem to be more spending big money on getting foreign players and coaches more than the Saudis have.
  14. I really hope this isn't true, but if it is, I'm suddenly a fan of Harry Redknapp. Personally, I think he's worth more than 3 million but less than 6 million. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/11-12/rumour-mill/21582.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  15. pounds* sorry, I can't make the British pound symbol on my Yank keyboard! I will say "pounds" from now on!
  16. Agreed. Felli's probably worth $25m.
  17. Didn't Barca say that they'd sell Ibrahim Afellay for only $6m? If only we could make that happen... But yeah, I don't see Henrique coming here, but it's worth Moyes making an inquiry into his interest in coming or not coming here.
  18. I couldn't see him coming back. Not after Moyes banished him from the club. Like I said, he's an incredibly talented and energetic player who could definitely play for us and a lot of other good squads, but he's such a liability off of the pitch and a hot-headed troublemaker. We'll see, but I doubt he'll end up here again.
  19. I don't see why Keane has left for the MLS already, I feel like he had some good years of European football ahead of him had he stayed. That being said, I don't think he'd be leaving Galaxy already, so if Del Piero came in, I'd assume Donovan would be leaving. Donovan has said he'd love to come here, but if there's a high transfer fee, it's definitely not happening.
  20. That must mean West Ham aren't confident about keeping Robert Green.
  21. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7790818/Released-players-revealed Anybody see anyone they'd take a punt on this list? I'd definitely go after Rodallega or Diame (If he wasn't demanding crazy high wages). I'd take Michael Owen on a pay as you play deal. I also see some decent Leftback cover and a few potential goalies assuming we might lose Mucha in the transfer window. I'd also possibly take Danny Murphy or Pavel Pogrebnyak if they don't re-sign with Fulham.
  22. Why couldn't we have had the money for Scott Parker. I swear, I would've loved to have seen him in blue.
  23. Watch any interview of the lad. I doubt he's of even average intelligence. Probably below average. I swear he probably has a personality disorder.
