Davies the lad would need to learn positional sense first and, right now, he’d need someone to draw him a map if he was to be able to find his own arse hole. Then he’d need to massively improve his passing as well. Oh and learn how to tackle.
Honestly don’t see why anyone rates him to be honest - can’t pass, can’t tackle, not strong, not quick, not skilful, poor control, no positional awareness whatsoever, can’t shoot... the lad runs about a lot, I’ll give him that.
Nothing more than a squad player for us unless he makes a dramatic improvement.
Tell is how you really fell Romey!

there you have it, they haven't updated his "first team" page then. thanks quinn. so really just grant and robles and i don't think anyone expects either to stick around.
Grant should go because he has no place in the first team squad and would count against the 25 man limit now that he's 23 - so he's not needed nor should he stay for his own career
Joel is good cover, but he should move on and go somewhere where he can be the #1.

team website says he contract runs out june 2018. i got all the info in this thread from the team website. i went to each player on the first team and in their bio usually the bottom it lists when their contract is up. could be they just didn't update the website but i've done this many times before and they usually update those bios right quick when people re-sign or are a new signing.

No. Stop looking backwards.
I really liked Moyes and still like the job he did here, but know. Let's look forward and get a manager who is still growing rather than one who is set in his ways.
I'm going to lose on Rafa or Dyche, so I am not sure how I feel between Silva or Howe. Both have big pros and cons for me.

completely forgot he was on loan, sounds like it didn't go well. lower championship or league 1 player? maybe they are trying to make sure they get some fee (no matter how small) from the investment the academy put into him.
I'm now reading mixed reviews on him - Either way, he's a rudimentary, basic defender. Not a lot of pace and isn'tt ever going to play the ball out from the back. Would certainly think he's good enough for the Championship in some capacity, but who knows.

Just signed a new three year contract believe it or not - not sure if he was going to be out of contract in the summer.
I have to believe we will try to move him on for a nominal fee in the near future, as I believe many Leeds fans don't think he's good enough.

London Blue,
- Nothing is bought and no document can make EFC buy anything.
- Read the 1st post the Garston site vastly superior to highly restrictive Bramley Moore Dock.
- The transport links at Garston are near as good as Wembley.
- Garston can fit in a 100,000 stadium it is so big.
A binding Purchase and Sale Agreement begs to disagree with you.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him rejoin us on loan with a view to a permanent move at the end of it.
If not us, will it be West Ham? Newcastle?

its great that Ross Barkley wont be playing champions league footy though!
You watch - he'll be rumored for a January loan move back to us by October.

It's got to be at least 55.000, just a bit more than the gobshites across the park.
Perhaps beating them on the fucking pitch for the first time since 2010 would be better? Maybe an atmosphere too (Seems to have gone missing)?

Honestly, I feel like the obsession with capacity among some is asinine. Old Trafford is a library - I'd rather fill 52000 seats and create atmosphere than try to go toe to toe with the Emirates, Spurs new stadium and kill the atmosphere or have a bunch of empty seats - Keep in mind that Goodison is 39.5k, even a jump to 52K is quite a leap.

One point to note - West Ham play Man U tomorrow - really unlucky on their end to have a Thursday midweek match whereas Southampton-Swansea was Tuesday. Only two days of rest for them. Hope that helps.

Chelsea hits the post. Still 1-1. Actually, Huddersfield goalie saved it onto post.
Think the whole "getting stuck in" deal gets overblown by nostalgic English pundits who were former workmanlike players from the 80s-90s, but this and Man City appear to have been inspired performances from a side desperate to stay in the division but completely devoid of any goalscoring capabilities.

Huddersfield goal. Weird long ball, goalie mess up, sort of.
Woah! Crazy scenes!
10 minutes ago, Elston Gunnn said:First half 0-0 at Stamford Bridge. Huddersfield has parked the bus, just occasionally with a breakout counter. Rudiger missed an open chance in front of goal. Chelsea players outraged when ref blew halftime whistle when they had a corner, so I’d guess they will come out even more aggressive. Second half will be tense, tense. Chelsea will have 80% of possession.
In one important sense, Chelsea are the more desperate team, as they must win today to keep alive their chance at top 4. Whereas Huddersfield need a point either tonight or Sunday at home v. Arsenal.
Think Huddy are just as desperate mate - Two matches with your fate in your own hands and needing to scape a point. That's as much incentive as any.

I’m not to fussed if we finish 8th again next season as long as it’s not as terrible to watch and we actually look like improving.
This. I don't think there are a few signings in the world or a new manager that can take us to the 65-70 point mark and actually challenge the top 6 by the end of next season, but I would like to see a clear identity, plan, and players who buy into it and give everything through the shirt - whether it's through solidarity and midfield/defensive grit under Dyche, or attacking flair and creativity under Howe/Fonseca.

Is this reductio ad absurdum or a genuine statement?
Would you take David Moyes back at Everton?

Martinez should manage international teams and then be a fill in manager for a club's cup competitions, both domestic and Europe
The man is terrible at grinding out results week in week out and not dropping points against inferior opposition or not being too naive against top quality teams, but his "fuck it, have a go" attitude seems to do him well in Cups.
