  1. He'll slot into the starting 11 behind the central midfield of Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Leroy Fer.
  2. Phil Kirkbride saying we've submitted a deal sheet for the loan of Zouma. This one could be down to the wire.
  3. It's deadline day by the way. In case you have an interest Everton's onfield performances
  4. This. Silly not to have three senior level keepers. Last time we only had two, our cover was either Mason Springthorpe or Jindrich Stanek - Mason Springthorpe ended up not even making it professionally and Stanek is currently in the second tier in the Czech Republic... The whole youth crap goes out the window in relation to having cover at Keeper.
  5. They don't need Stek, they've got Rob Green
  6. were rumored to be interested - a loan move wouldnt be the worst given weve not got great striking options behind Tosun. Not sure Arsenal would take a loan offer.
  7. I don't think any of that will happen. Just wishful thinking. Perhaps Bolasie out the door.
  8. Mirallas is apparently going out on loan. I don't see Morgan or Bolasie leaving, or McCarthy since he's still injured.
  9. Shame. Such a talent, in my opinion - great passing range. Clearly injuries have been a constant problem for him - not sure if its bad luck/injury proneness or if he doesn't keep up with his body. As for his drinking - either he has a problem in getting pissed too often or losing all decision making abilities when he gets pissed. The term "problem with alcohol" springs to mind, though I don't know him personally or the situation in great detail, so don't want to outright accuse him.
  10. I was literally reading that quote and like... "who has more than one?" - City and Barca are the only two stand outs there.
  11. I think he may've physically gone a bit. See how out of shape he looked when he came for preseason last summer.
  12. It feels like we were getting a little short on young goalkeepers. Look forward to him rotting away with the U-19s, then U-21's
  13. I had moved on to Barkley - I now get you mean Rodwell, who yes, I doubt will ultimately end up as a Premier League player. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I will note, we should cease speaking about Barkley on the Rodwell thread immediately, because inevitably we'll end up talking about Lukaku
  14. I still think he likely has a Premier League career ahead of him, but he needs to get out of Chelsea ASAP. The longer he goes without regular game time, the further off the pace he'll be when he returns. Agree, he will likely never be a world beater.
  15. I knew someone would come at it with the "special club" nonsense, but glad we're doing this nonetheless. As for the Barkley comment . I can't say I want the lad to go on and become a worldbeater, but I hope he doesn't fail that badly.
  16. Do not speak ill of that legend. He drives when he wants!
  17. Any half decent 2 will quickly push for a move if he's not on the back end of his career, though agree. We need 3 first team ready GKs - right now we have two. This reminds me of the horror thoughts I had a few years ago when we were a run of bad luck from having either Mason Springthorpe or Jindrich Stanek in the net.
  18. Let's rank them by ridiculousness: Davies and Niasse having a row.... Moshiri gone broke... Walcott mad that he didn't get a break and trying to transfer....
  19. This. Being talented and being ready for this level are two different things. Another season of nonstop first team football would do him a world of good.
  20. I don't think he's that bad. Definitely will pick up some yellows which could accumulate to a suspension and I think if he started all 38 matches, he'd probably get dismissed ~once for doing something rash, either through a tackle or altercation. I like players keeping their heads, but every side needs SOME edge to it. May main concern with him would just be lapses in defensive positioning.
  21. As everyone should. Clearly there's sarcasm and joke insults thrown in there. Somehow that goes over some people's heads.
  22. Anyone who followed Neville and Cahill back in their playing days here would know it was banter between the two, who've had a long history of doing so. The fact that there was mild outrage among some just shows how thin skinned some are. Twitter really gives a voice to people who don't need to be heard or don't have anything valid to say.
