  1. plenty of good possession, a bit poo in the final third though, we should going into the break ahead imo. Gerard for a home debut in the second half, COYB!!
  2. I know, and it's weird because they never used to play like that.
  3. we really do need some more guille in the midfield imo, a sort of deep lying play maker type(maybe a fit Gibson would do tbh)
  4. what a waste of a free kick
  5. great run and shot from Barkley
  6. Interested to see Osman's performance today, will he step it up from last week in front of the home fans.
  7. shame it's only a loan, this would be a great addition to the midfield, as has been said im surprised they are letting him go.
  8. I really hope Chelsea stick it up Moyes and United on Monday, and believe me im no Mourinho fan.
  9. No concern about him as a player, i think he will settle in straight away. Just the fee that concerns me £15m is an awful lot, imo should be no more than £10m
  10. I agree Bill, he will have huge pressure on him to deliver should we sign him.
  11. Not at all, it's my observation that after one good loan spell a certain section of the fanbase are desperate for us to get him back, he's mr average as far as im concerned and we have a few of them already, we don't need another. This is a forum and im entitled to my opinion so let's just agree to disagree, yes?
  12. Gerard might get some game time tomorrow, get the crowd going, at home 1st game and all that, and it's only West Brom, if we could get a couple of goals first half, then it would be great to see him get 45mins
  13. Good to see Roberto is still looking to be active in the market, but it must be slightly awkward, he needs a plan A for if Baines and Fellaini stay(i guess this is his one more in statement) and he needs a plan B for if they go, as we will need more than one signing then. The mancs need to make up their mind what they are doing, otherwise it will be a last day thing, and knowing us we won't replace in time.
  14. I reckon they will learn more from playing/training with someone like Deulofeu who is one of the worlds hottest young talents, and also a similar age to them and they can relate to him better than they would Donovan. I do love how are US fans try to encourage a re-signing every window, but imo it's just another over 30 player, not needed.
  15. Sorry not meant in an offensive way, i apologise.
  16. I watched some of the Athletico vs Barca game last night, and Athletico had a guy upfront called Diego Costa who i believe the shite were linked with the other week. Well talk about Suarez mk2, he was diving, rolling moaning to the ref, really don't understand why they would want another player like that.
  17. Fuck off, you are putting him in the same bracket as McCarthy, Cabaye is a far better player imo, he was amazing that first season he was here
  18. Spartak no longer in Alderweireld race Spartak Moscow have pulled out of a move for Toby Alderweireld - a target for a handful of Premier League clubs - despite having agreed a fee with Ajax. Source: Het Nieuwsblad Wednesday, 21 August 2013 09:13
  19. You can have as many mistakes as you wish, English is not your first language.
  20. I have to say i do like the player but overall im leaning towards your viewpoint Bill, i agree, there must be other options for that kind of money.
  21. Pretty sure Whelan said at the start of the summer when there was us and spurs interested that he would cost nearer £20m
  22. Yeah, i guess there is that, he has worked with the manager, if Martinez stays for the time Moyes did then yes, we would see the best of McCarthy no doubt.
  23. I think he will be ok as i don't think Martinez will start him every game. If we can get a CM/DM brought in and maybe shift Osman upfront, he can be gradually eased in over the season. He is going to need a settled 2 behind him though, whether it's Felli+Gibson, Gibson+Another, Felli+Another etc, etc. So that if he does lose the ball he doesn't have to have the worry about getting it back so much, just concentrate on what he's good at.
