  1. When he wants to be he is a wonderful player however he clearly doesnt have the sense he was born with Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has escaped unhurt after a firework went off in his bathroom. Two fire engines were sent to the home of the 21-year-old Italy international in Mottram St Andrew, Macclesfield, just after midnight on Saturday morning after the alarm was raised. They found a fire in the bathroom on the first floor of the detached property. Four firefighters arrived wearing breathing apparatus and used two hose reel water jets to douse the flames, and a large fan was deployed to clear smoke. A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews managed to put the fire out within half an hour of arriving but remained at the scene until 2.45am to prevent any possible flare-ups. "Smoke alarms were fitted at the property and the occupiers were able to get out unharmed. The fire was caused by a firework." The cause of the blaze is being examined by fire investigators and police but is not being treated as suspicious. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/11/10/22/SOCCER_Balotelli.html&BID=165
  2. I thought Villa would beat the baggies and Bolton would get at least a draw. Delighted Norwich got a point, the shyte were terrible after conceding Boltons loss will increase pressure on Coyle as that was 3 points they would probably would have expected to pick up. Roll on tomorrow
  3. A couple of jabs and they are free and they recommend malaria tablets. Dont bother with malaria tablets, they dont actually prevent it and if you get it they make it harder to treat.
  4. 2 weeks, flights from heathrow stop over in bahrain. About 10.5 hours if I recall correctly, couldnt accurately say as I dropped a load of valium - the only way to fly. A few wife beaters at the bar and a couple of vallies later you wake up in another continent
  5. We need a win and I reckon we will get one 3-1
  6. A mate has just come back from Vietnam and said it was brilliant, very cheap. He will definitely be going back
  7. Goa, its fucking wicked and nigh on impossible to spend any money. A bottle of kingfisher was about 35p there, 20 fags, 50p. The most amazing hash I have ever smoked as well about a pound a gram. Awesome sea food curries with prawns just plucked from the sea The holiday paid for itself as well when I flogged all the looky looky clothes I bought over there on ebay http://go.jewelholid...e_goa/index.asp Was where I booked mine, cost £299.00 for a fortnight, they started at £399.00 but I haggled. The accomodation was spacious, clean but very basic. The air con worked intermittently but it does go cool at night there but red hot during the day. Still 35p kingfisher will cool you off I stayed in the North at Calungute but going to the south in March next year, it is supposed to more picturesque and not quite as touristy as the North
  8. I havent got room for that I would have to get rid of some tools in the garage
  9. This I think its the lifestyle in England otherwise he would be loaned out in England I would have thought. It hardly helps him settle when sent back to Portugal all the time
  10. The Sun have followed suit today. Whats the point? We dont need a defender or a defensive midfielder. We have a world cup finalist CB who cant get a game.
  11. Does it blow at all? Even cold air?
  12. Marco would be proud of that Its the same as the financial fair play rules, only designed to keep the top 4-5 exclusive
  13. I thought he had something to offer when he left. He has the talent but consistency is his problem. A 30 yard screamer followed by squandering absolute sitters. In his time away from Goodison he has maintained an ability to do wonderful things and score great goals but still remains inconsistent, this is why nobody else but Celtic wanted him. A backward step for us and to echo most thoughts on here I will be disappointed if his arrival limits the chances of our younger lads. He had a chance here before and didnt take it
  14. Alphabetically, say A-K Unlucky Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City, oh and Tottenham
  15. Not sure how it would work really. How could you deny some Championship clubs the potential pot of gold? It says they are keen on a franchising model, fucking americans. How does that work? How does a franchise apply to football clubs?
  16. Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed it would be "suicide" to scrap relegation from the Premier League. Several of the biggest Barclays Premier League clubs want to do away with relegation and promotion in the top flight, according to League Managers' Association chief executive Richard Bevan. Bevan claimed the American and Asian owners of Premier League sides are keen on a franchising model. Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Sunderland are all in American hands, Manchester City are run from Abu Dhabi, while other clubs including Chelsea and Blackburn also have foreign investors. Bevan fears that if more teams change ownership, there could be a vote to abolish relegation, a move which would require the backing of two thirds of Premier League clubs as well as Football Association approval. However, Ferguson is leading the opposition. "I don't see where the end product comes in," said the Scot. "There are at least eight teams in the Championship at the moment with great history. "What do you say to those eight teams, they can never play in the Premier League? http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/11/10/17/SOCCER_Premier_League_2nd_Nightlead.html&BID=165 Im with SAF on this one. It would be a nonsense and kill football in the lower leagues stone dead
  17. Racing Genks young Belgian international linked with a move to goodison http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2011/10/16/everton-target-belgian-striker-marvin-ogunjimi-102039-23491405/
  18. He is training with Celtic at the moment so I agree he will probably end up there. Little point in bringing him here and wasting money on wages. Plenty of players we have I would rather see play and unless a serious injury crisis occurs
  19. This is true, he has something that cant be taught. Sometimes I just feel he is a luxury we cant afford
  20. Seem like a nice bunch and they have a bit of love for us As they point out they have been where we are now. Doesnt seem to matter which club we talk to they all rave about Cahill
  21. They have been after football for a long time due to the masses of tax evasion/avoidance that goes on. Portsmouth were the major culprits of paying players masses of money on image rights to lessen the tax burden on wages. John Utake was a classic example, image rights of £2million a year, will he really generate that many shirt sales? Did he fluck
  22. Gascoigne on high strength lager is probably more accurate
  23. Yeah right. Valencia have balanced their books we havent. It really is a piece of piss being a journo Wake up Write bollocks Send bollocks to editor editor okays bollocks paper prints bollocks journo picks up pay cheque Repeat process
