    Wigan

I was at work most of yesterday and only saw MOTD highlights. Delighted for Velios and Drenthe and Straq for the lovely little flick on for Drenthe. He does look very good, quick and powerful, cool and collected, neat finish
  9. That is the best part of 28 days though

    Wigan

They trained yesterday with no balls http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Wigan-squad-left-kicking-their-heels-after-thieves-steal-48-footballs-from-training-ground-exclusive-story-article799960.html Thieves nicked them all apparently. Hope that doesnt happen to us we might not be able to afford to replace them
  12. Thanks Stev0 for moving to the proper place, my bad So addictive. Has anyone ever used the demo? You can continue after New year when purchasing the real game. I used it last year and thought it was crap, I pissed through the first 6 months losing once and I thought it put a slightly unrealistic slant on it. Maybe to get new people into it they make it easy? Anyhoo I wont be doing that again. I reckon Ross may have good stats but also with good potential. Seamus will be better this year too i reckon
  13. Wasnt sure whether to put this here or in General but anyway For all our FM fans here do you think Everton will be a better side this year than last? Will the emergence of Ross Barkley make up for the loss of Arteta? RB was good last year and is now a regular in my side but surely he will be better this. Will FM have woken up to the fact Bily just isnt very good? Will Drenthe and Denis have good stats? I was not going to buy it this year as it looked like we would make no signings but once again I will be heading to the shops. My missus fucking hates it though Which is a damn good reason to play it
  14. I can think of at least 8 more things unfunnier
  15. Our players in essence are just a part of the overall worth of the club. They represent its current standing I guess as a middle of the road, might win a cup, wont get relegated, wont win the league, might get europa football, outside bet for top 4 champions league pot of gold.
  16. What about Kroldrup? 1 game for the club alright he got injured but without doubt up there for our worst piece of business ever. Did he like a bit of beak?
  17. That makes the Redskins stadium look like my garden shed I want that one
  18. I accept the club isnt worth x based upon the value of their players and this would not directly affect the valuation of the club However I believe it would be a factor to consider Eg - How much player investment to 1- retain premier league status 2- break into top 4 3- win the league Dependent upon your aspirations for the club
  19. It is a stadium 91k capacity cost $251million Not a huge amount of money for the revenue it probably returns. Attributing value to people as you say is difficult but it must be factored into a decision by any potential investor, if only to understand the level of investment required rather than attribute a value to the club? Dependent of course on what your plan was for the club
  20. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/30/06nfl_Washington-Redskins_300925.html I know this relates to an NFL team but it is fundamentally the same. It was interesting to note their is no value attributed to the players themselves. I stand corrected
  21. Clubs insure against things like that I believe I should probably say that valuing a football club is like no other business I should imagine. How can Everton a currently loss making enterprise be worth £100million? Outside of football any business like that would have been wound up by now
