  1. It does, Bruce is fucking shit though. He spends wherever he manages and gets nothing for it. 12 players in and 12 players out, its like a revolving door and cant help with consistency.
  2. I would echo that Matt. A threadbare squad like ours needs a few fillers given we dont have masses of cash. It isnt the solution but it does help plug a few gaps when the inevitable injuries strike
  3. Apparently Man Utd want £6million for him He came from the same club as Soljskaer, Molde. Scored 30 in 60 appearances for them An eye for goal and quick but would SAF let him go if he is that good?
  4. Whats the alternative? West Brom spent £6mill on Shane Long, if he suceeds he might be worth £10-12mill but its a risk and might be worth next nothing at the end of this season if he flops. At least we know what we are getting with LD
  5. Did he mean that? Doesnt look to bad that Brek Shea
  6. I would have had Larsson and Vaughan if for nothing more than adding some much needed cover/competition.
  7. Apologies, i looked on page 1 and no further, my bad
  8. Sunderlands 12th deal of the summer if it goes through.
  9. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Everton-want-Nedum-Onuoha-on-loan-Manchester-City-could-buy-him-if-Arsenal-buy-Phil-Jagielka-article786178.html Do we really need another defender? If Jags goes then yes, arguably we do especially if Yobo goes as well.
  10. That was my point. Shane Long £6mill who didnt score in the prem but got plenty in the Championship. beckford got 8 in the prem as he was adjusting to life at a much higher level. It was more to support my point about £3mill being a derisory offer for Beckford
  11. Be madness to let this happen if there is any truth in it. I thought Beckford started to look better and better as he adjusted to life in the Prem. It was a big step up for him and if he can build on last season will be a useful player. £3mill is pretty derisory really for a player who scored 10 goals last season, 8 in the league. How many goals did Shane Long manage when he played in the prem?
  12. Listening to the Arctic Monkeys first couple of albums again, quality music. I fear they have gone down hill with their recent stuff. First 2 albums written about gritty northern stuff with some very funny anecdotes and a take on life Sheffield. Then comes fame, fortune and a big house in Surrey, hardly the backdrop for tales of hard Sheffield life. organic food and fancy shoes dont float my boat
  13. Another clanger by David De Gea to allow Shane Long to score on his debut for West Brom and level it at 1-1
  14. I agree Patto but we havent got the money for Harrods so we have to shop at poundland
  15. Turned down Getafe http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Real-Madrid-winger-Pedro-Leon-a-target-for-Everton-Aston-Villa-and-Fulham-article785089.html Fulham and Villa also linked
  16. I dont see the point in signing a tall striker if we dont solve our width problems and start putting crosses into the box to service the tall guy. Unless we just lump it long, oh the beautiful game I wouldnt be against Kranjcar or Benteke coming here but Benteke isnt going to make an immediate impact, he is one for the future and Kranjcar whilst happy to play left side of midfield is not the solution to pace and/or width on our left flank. That said to have a natural left midfielder may help Baines
  17. Not a bad signing, probably not going to make an immediate impact. Liege had him out on loan last season where he scored 6 in 18
  18. 243 appearances in 11 seasons, an average of 22 a season.
  19. Was fantastic but career blighted by injuries of late. Only 11 appearances last season, not many the year before. Fitness guaranteed he would be an exceptional signing, as it is we cant afford the risk
  20. Haha that was a particular highlight for me too.
  21. Upson is absolute turd. A handful of england caps, looking further out of his depth in each one. Was wank last season as West Ham went down, Im pretty sure he was wank the season before, and before that. Not fit to wear the shirt free or not free
  22. Made of glass. I did rate him but injuries have ravaged his career. its a shame really, a shame when any footballer doesnt get to fulfil their potential due to injuries.
  23. With us not playing today it has proper ruined the first day I have had to spend the day watching cricket and attempting to break my own cider drinking record. Does anyone else feel a little flat given our canx? What have people been upto?
  24. We could try Tim Howard up front and give Mucha a run in goal For me Yobo is not that great a player. He has pace and strength, his pace has got him out of trouble more than once but as he ages and starts to lose his pace his lack of positioning sense and his inability to read a game will become more exposed. His concentration is not up to much either. Take the money and run
