  1. First laugh of the day, thanks Marco. Your eloquence never fails to amuse Agree entirely, Fergie can nob off
  2. I dont know about beneath him. More beyond him, he drops deep too much and is then too fucking lazy to get in the box
  3. I always remember that stupid headbutt on Gallas about 5 minutes into the game with Chelsea, 2005/6 I think. After that I thought he couldnt go quick enough. Disgrace and an embarrasment to the shirt
  4. Distin has a little bit more about him tactically and positionally that can hopfully negate the affect of advancing years. Im not sure Yobo has the ability to do that
  5. A couple of good games and the vultures circle
  6. It isnt no. It is though for a defender who is lacking in positional awareness and has relied on pace and muscle to overcome his tactical shortcomings. I have always rated Yobo but feared for him once his athleticism began to wane - for reasons above.
  7. The Pie mountain must be growing since Yaks departure, this seems a most sensible remedy to the situation.
  8. Excellent article.I would agree with the analysis. We had the best of him I reckon. A change of scenery may freshen him up a bit and then Arsenal may find they have a bit of value for the fee, however if he plays for them like he did for us recently then we did well to get 10mill. The 4 year contract they offered him is about all they will get, he will be 33 at the end of contract
  9. I havent been posting here long, a couple of months. It was a really friendly place when I first signed up. Good banter over disagreements and respect of each others opinions despite how odd/strange/downright ridiculous you thought it was recently there is more childish bickering and name calling We are all supporters of the same club and as such gives us a bond - lets play nice again guys
  10. 4 year deal is brave from the gooners. 33 by then and his recent form isnt exactly breathtaking. A good deal for us I think even though it might not seem it at the moment. Thanks for the good times Mikky, at your best you were awesome, when average you were better than most and most importantly you wanted to be here and play for us and gave us the best years of your career, let Arsenal have the autumn of your playing career, we got the summer and at times damn good it was. All the best
  11. Investors may have bought Blackburn but what has that got them? Yak from us and Scott Dann, I will stick with Kenwright if thats what investment gets you. Plus a good manager sacked in Allardyce and Steve Kean the replacement
  12. England are backing away from Redknapp arent they, given his financial misdemeanours? Are Spurs any bigger than us? They may be able to offer money he doesnt get here but they arent a big club compared to us.
  13. I reckon we will know in a few weeks if anyone will be interested once we have seen what he has to offer
  14. It could be worse. Gutted to lose Beckford and Arteta but the blow could be softened if the 2 new lads can perform well. I console myself Im not a villa fan, they may have got N'Zogbia who I would have loved here but the other replacement for Downing/Young was Jermaine Jenas
  15. His contract runs out in 12 months so he becomes a free agent when the loan ends. Hopefully he performs and then doesnt want to pack his bags again
  16. We have solved one problem and created several others. Drenthe is a good signing and Im looking forward to see him play. We are short up front now though, I assume Saha will be 1st choice and when his inevitable injury comes who will fill in? I take the new lad - If he turns out to be good, how the fuck are we supposed to come up with a song, what rhymes with straquilsarirsairsairsa??????? Tweet from Phil Neville this morning People writing us off, backs to the wall, underdogs, crisis been there seen it done it love it can't wait for next game time to step up blues
  17. SkyBet slashed his odds to 10/1 to be the next manager to go. He wont be but he might be more interested should another job come available. Moyes wouldnt have wanted Arteta to go Im sure but was the deal not off until Arteta forced the issue himself?
  18. And have we confirmed any signings yet?
  19. Deal done I suspect. Thanks for the good times.
  20. Back out to 9/4 to happen. Running out of time
  21. Notthat Ive heard and the Arteta deal looks to be on the rocks
  22. Dependent upon Yak and Beckford deals according to Phil Mcnulty
  23. Drenthe seems good signing, but moyes was facing tough season without losing arteta. RT @louissaha08 "Aaaaaaaaaaaaah. What is going on?" Tweet from Stuart Rowson Editor of BBC Sports website
  24. I do hope that isnt true. I fear it may be
