Have to put a striker on. Mcaleny for Cahill and get Drenthe on too
-
I voted for nobody. We may get a few loans in but I dont exactly consider that a signing.
I expect we will get a few youngsters from somewhere and develop them before our own. About all I expect from us at the moment, something shit piled upon the rest of the shit we put up with
-
We needed a bit of a lift and hopefully it can prove a bit of a catalyst for some better performances. Its only 2 months but if we pick points up, play better then fingers crossed we can carry that on when he leaves.
-
I wont criticise Moyes but I can no longer stick up for him. It was the Stoke game that stuck in my throat. We let a side that had a european game midweek dictate to us at home. We arent adventurous, we never throw caution to the wind even when chasing games.
For me the negativity surrounding the club is all consuming from our finances to the attitude we currently display on the pitch. We all deserve better.
Moyes will never get a big job because they require big ideas and a certain amount of flexibility
-
Heitinga for me. Calm and organised and the best CB we have. Hibbo close second, at least he plays with heart and puts himself about for the cause
-
It is unlikely we will find a striker within our budget that will score bags of goals with the way we play. We let Beckford go and for me he was the best we had at playing alone.
I expected nothing from yesterday and we got nothing, however we were never likely to get anything the way we played.
Seeing Mick Mcarthy on MOTD last night he said something like
I thought all week about playing 1 or 2 up (at Old Trafford) and went for 2 and decided to try and get at them. You cant sit and defend at Old Trafford. Ok they got hammered 4-1 but might have lost like that by defending
Could you ever see Moyes thinking like that?

Someone leaving, maybe King Louis?
WTF would anyone pay money for Saha? I like him as a player but what club in their right mind would shell out money for a sicknote of his age?
What a shit article
-
Good player. I would like us to make a move for him and Nicky Maynard at City.
I have seen him several times this season and has been integral to the clubs upturn in fortune coupled with Maynards goals.
-
His goals/games ratio has been good throughout his career 88 in 203 games. If you look at his record since 2008 it becomes 49 in 82.
He scored 14 in 14 games during an injury disrupted season playing in the Belgian league 2, Mons were promoted and this season he has 10 in 9 according to Wiki but the Mirror article says its 15 in 16 now.
-
The 26-year-old Frenchman has scored 15 goals in 16 games for Mons, which has alerted the Toffees as well as Belgian heavyweights Anderlecht, France's Marseille and Italians Genoa.
It is believed there is a £1million buy-out clause in Perbet's contract, as well as a renegotiation clause in the event of a bigger club coming in with an offer.

If the FA want to invest and improve grass roots football then they need to take a harder line with the Premier League. The masses of money the Prem generates is kept almost exclusively within the premiership.
If some of this trickled down to the lower leagues then it could help with grass roots. There is a massive finance gap between the haves and have nots, this is evident in between sides in the Prem - us and Man City say and even more evident when comparing prem teams to championship, league 1 etc

You're doing it all wrong Markus, it's BOOM.
Love the new avatar Ten quality stuff

It is when we're severely lacking in the two .
If he helps Baines create more opportunities/assists then he is an asset to the side. I would suggest his work rate did enable Baines to get in more advanced positions
-
I bet Baines would have him back, he's only been half the player since Pienaar went, and if any football was played by Everton it was played by Pienaar, always ready to lay a pass and run, take on defenders and draw players away so Baines could enjoy himself.
You never saw Pienaar hoof the ball 40 yards, and anybody who says he wouldn't improve this present squad, knows very little about football. I hope we get him here, if only for five months, and Donovan on the other side.
It isnt just about stats - assists goals etc its about what you bring to the team and I agree that he helped Baines put in some great performances and their partnership worked well.
Personally I would have him back here. I wasnt happy how he left but we couldnt offer him what he wanted as a footballer, granted we still can't but we can offer him game time.

think we need some of our american members to give a better idea. I dont understand why it will cost 1.2m if hes been released though
I tried to find the answer to that question, very confusing.
I think it has something to do with allocations of squad status. He is still a DC United player but they dont want to allocate him a squad place hence he gets released
http://www.mlssoccer...ls-roster-rules
The link talks about Roster rules and allocations. It made my head hurt
However if you look at this - a list of MLS transfers some did move for free but from MLS club to MLS club

Totally agree with that Matt. We have enough combative midfielders and whats the point in developing other teams youngsters at the expense of our own.
-
The Mirror doesnt need to talk to Moyes to know he may not have any money, alls they need to know is whose running the club!!
This is true. It was hardly the work of some excellent investigative journalism
-
Dalgliesh is tit but not as big a tit as Suarez
Are you sure? For me the man that defends the tit and his tittish behaviour is the bigger tit
-
Not for me, you cant teach pace you either have it or you dont and you need it in the prem
-
Could we/Would we dare to play 2 strikers against the mighty Tamworth?
-
http://www.sportinglife.com/football/transfer_centre/index_wk.html
The Sun say he is coming the Mail say he isn't. Considering both papers print bollocks every day Im no closer to knowing whether he is or isnt.
The Mirror also say Moyes has no idea if he will have cash in January
-
Its odd how what goes around comes around though. Spearing sent off for the shyte last night, didnt look like a red card clumsy at worse and they go on to lose 1-0.
-
I dont understand why there are such massive differences in the interpretation of the rules, not just by different referees but individual interpretations. Far too many trivial free kicks given outside the box but far more serious fouls overlooked within the box - such as the man handling by Shawcross yesterday, outside the box, free kick inside the box nothing.
Consistency in decision making is all I ask for

is the game not on sky or espn?

Zamora is not the man, far too hit and miss. We dont have the money for anybody.
Give Mcaleny and Straq a few games playing together they just couldnt do any worse than Saha and Cahill.
Look for new options when you have exhausted the ones you have and we are yet to explore the possibilities within our own squad
