  1. Far be it for me to defend Suarez but - it appears the FA have drawn the conclusion that Evra's version is the most likely and have acted accordingly. Now that doesnt seem as if anything has been "proved". In addition Suarez and Evra's accounts both state that Evra said to Suarez "dont touch me South American"

So its not alright to make reference to colour but it is alright to show xenophobic tendencies to an entire continent?

  2. I have read this morning that David Beckham is urging Frank Lampard to join LA Galaxy. With Robbie Keane, David Beckham (who they hope will re-sign on a rolling 12 month deal), Landon Donovan and possibly Lampard they will have to find a way around the designated player rules

  3. Anybody who tried to pin that on Hansen would be out of order.

There has to be an element of intent to accuse anybody of racism.

Please step forward and tell us exactly what terminology is best to describe somebody from a different ethnic background, because if saying coloured is racism, then the world has gone mad. The term 'coloured' was always a 'polite' and 'innocent' description.

If Hansen had called them rabbit chasing jigaboos I could understand, but come on. The world is suffocating itself.

    totally agree with that

Coloured is the sort of thing my nan would have said.

However this is the BBC and the lefty twats will be pissing their pants over this

  4. I would repeat what most say. Its obvious there is a good player in there he has all the technical attributes but seems to struggle with the physicality of football here.

Hope he moves abroad so I can wish him well because I wouldnt really want to see him move to another PL club

  5. Went with Fellaini. A solid display from him always seems to make us play better and last night others did the fancy stuff around him. Drenthe very good, Osman showed a lot more than Cahill in the role off the striker and got the goal.

Heitinga very good again a real calm influence.

All in all a more committed display with players wanting the ball but some players continue to disappoint and you wonder if Saha and Neville are in terminal decline not just poor form

  6. That's where I stand as well.

I have a lot of issues with Moyes, I don't think he's good enough to take us further and I think he could do better with what he does have at his disposal, but I'm not sure any one else would come in and take us further either. I do, however, think they could also do better with the players we have.

Better the devil you know situation really.

Maybe if we had 50 mill a new manager could come in and freshen things up but we havent.

Like you I criticise often enough, our reluctance to play 2 up front etc etc but at the end of the day we are lucky to have him

  7. If Moyes did go we have to ask realistically who would come here? They would know the situation with our finances and there would be no money for changes and the likelihood of having to sell the best players at the club.

There are not many prepared to take that on unless they were out of work, managing a division 1 or 2 side or just not very good.

I hope Moyes stays because I fear whatever might replace him wont be fit to lick his boots

  8. The status quo cannot continue. I accept Bill has no money and cant bankroll the club, I also see no particular reason why he should even if he was minted. However his shortcomings in the cash department should be made up for with his business prowess, his ability to drive the club forward and seize the opportunities that are thrown our way, negotiate the best deals with sponsors and player sales. We all know how he has fared on that front

All in all ultimate fail, I flushed something this morning with more business acumen than BK

  9. But the way the transfer system works, you only have a window of opportunity to decide.

It's a gamble... hope you can make something from what you have, or opt to buy in a known quantity (whoever that may be).

That said a 'known quantity' is a bit questionable, since there's no guarantee really.

IF Moyes was thinking along the same lines (using what you have), then he probably should have given the lads a fair run prior to the window in order to be in a better position to judge.

A playmaker would be great, but realistically, who's out there and available. You have to be realistic.... you're likely to be able to get an 'out of favour' type player, or a rising star from a lower league (if you buy).

Or, there's always the option of a loan deal... which might make some sense if it's a quality player needing games.

I just think it's way too risky NOT to bring in one or two players... the winter is hard on players, you'll get injuries, and the squad's not deep enough.

It would be great if Moyes COULD muster up something from the existing squad, but really, can you keep letting key players go and not expect to slip backwards? I'm not convinced.

Any signing we make will be risky because

1- They are unknown or unproven at the top level

2- They are out of form

3- They are getting on a bit

    4- All of the above

We need to strengthen but to do that you need money and I cant see enough money being available to enable us to purchase anybody better than what we have
