once for us, check out the facts Mr Pax:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakubu
in the word of our friend Ten:
BOOM
He had ample opportunity to reproduce this, rediscover the talent he has, use it for us and he didnt.
This.
I would wager good money that you go on Blackburn forums in 12 months time and they will be calling him fat and lazy and wondering why he cant reproduce the form shown when he arrived.
-
For less than £3 he's got to be worth a punt!
Maynard on you then mate
-
Totally agree, would have loved him here on loan - good player
-
You know what you will get from Moyes
A functional side that defends. Recently our performances have improved, a bit more confidence has seen us play better. We dont set ourselves up any differently but by virtue of a bit of confidence we play better and look a more potent attacking threat.
Essentially our traditional poor start saps confidence and leaves us hanging on in games where we play on the back foot, recently we have been a bit more on the front foot
-
Villa are getting him for free according to the guardian!
Going there on loan according to the Daily Mail who say he has made this claim himself. No mention of fee and or length of contract
-
More likely to be one of the loanees, Bily or Heitinga I would think. Those 4 arent going anywhere in January.....
I certainly hope not. We will make a loss on Bily but might recoup our money for heitinga - although are Duffy or Mustafi ready to cover for Jags/Distin? Surely not Hibbo at CB again
-
Fees to agents are ridiculous. Even in contract renewals agents get fees.
I fail to see how we have bought nobody in that period and spent £3million on loan signings and contract renewals
-
Luuk de Jong is currently valued at around £6 million and its thought that Everton will have a transfer budget of around £5 million but are willing to sell to raise funds.
Have we got much left to sell? Unless its Rodders, Felli, Barkley or Baines we wont raise much and I dont want to lose any of them

My Missus is a Bristol City fan and we watch them a fair bit. He is a very good player and has all the attributes to make it in the prem, pace, movement, good touch and composure. How he would cope playing in our system is another thing.
Most City fans dont think he will sign a new deal and the financial details they revealed yesterday make it more urgent to get something for him (posted a £12million loss, a mill more than last year)
About £2.5 would probably be enough. He is a little bit injury prone though
-
Gooner mate of mine said he is playing pretty well at the moment. He would rather send Arteta back here
-
couple of Benfica fans in the office over here, call him a magician. They dont see him leaving though....
But Benfica say they wont renew his contract if the article is to be believed
-
he was a very good player, past it now and we have better promise in the youth coming through
This exactly, a few seasons ago would have welcomed it but not now.
He will move to Wolfsburg I reckon as the loan isnt an option and personally I would be horrified if we spent money buying a player out of form and fitness in the autumn years of his career
-
He seems to overcome the injury problems he had 2 seasons ago but at 32 are they likely to resurface? The prem is a tough league and will find out any physical problems.
We should be able to see off Blackburn for his signature and do Spurs really need him?
I would be happy to see this happen as he is obviously a quality player
-
I think Moyes would want him. I have been very happy with his performances so far and convinced he can build on them as well.
As for the article its a pile of crap
-
Would go for Maynard, cheap wages and hungry
His contract is ticking down at Bristol City and they wont allow him to go to a fellow Championship club - they knocked back bids from Leicester and West Ham. He would be available in the window for around £3million I reckon. He would love a return back to the north as well.
I have seen him play a few times this season and he is getting better and better now the goals have started to come again and the side are playing better. He has good movement, pace and is composed in front of goal
-
Jermain Defoe has pleaded with Harry Redknapp to let him go out on loan in January with Everton heading the pack of clubs interested.
Would be an excellent addition. I have always thought he is a good prem player and can take his chances. Struggled when making the step up to international so has his limitations but I would welcome him here

Its in loads today

Express and Sun as well.

Sadly this is true
-
The article undermines itself. Never going to happen

What doesnt grind my gears is putting on an old pair of work trousers and finding a tenner in the pocket
ker-ching

A side performing poorly but he is getting goals.
I suspected he would as he always seems to when first arriving somewhere but he just seems to lose interest and slip out of shape. He looks quite fit at present and could we ever do with a fit firing Yak at the moment.
We will have to wait and see if he can maintain his form as I believe he has great purple patches followed by prolonged barren spells and it remains to be seen how he will perform long term.
In my opinion Blackburn got a bargain

According to the Sunday Mirror
Gareth Southgate has emerged as a shock contender for the England managers post Fabio Capello will be vacating
It isnt April 1st
-
FROM THE ARTICLE
The businessman - who quit City's board of directors this week - want supporters to text in their preferred substitutes during a game which the Sky Blues manager would then have to comply with.
[/left]
With several thousand people in the stadium, the idea was that fans would be charged premium rates to text in who they thought should come off and who should replace them, similar to the way many clubs ask supporters to vote for their man of the match.

Yak scores 4 but we got Saha.
