Weren't we in talks with three "interested parties" a couple of months ago, around the time new season tickets went on sale? I don't want to be cynical, but I've heard so many takeover stories and rumours, that until I see something on the OS, then as far as I'm concerned, that's all it is: just another rumour.

As much as I'm saddened by Arteta leaving, I'm coming around to the idea that it was for the best, hopefully, for all parties. I wish him well, but you know, I've got a sneaky feeling that he might just turn out to be a decent player for Arsenal.

We do look weak in forward striking areas, though.

In his farewell interview on the OS, he claims that he gets a lot of really, really nice sex from people at the club. !!

If we're looking for a striker....... just heard on SSN, that James Beattie is now a free agent!!

As far as I know, he's only got one year left on his Real Madrid contract, so if he does well and choses to stay, we'll get him on a free next year, (well we'll get him for a loan fee). I'm pretty pleased with that signing, he could potentially fill in on the wing, where we're desperate, and if he does well and chooses to stay, it could be a good bit of business. Time will tell.

I'll echo that.,.. can see us struggling to be honest, maybe with Drenthe we've found a solution to our winger problem, but, I'm not convinced we've not shot ourselves in the foot (make that both feet, and allour boots) in the striker department
