  1. Frustrating match. Too many touches and trying to be too pretty sometimes in the final third where we should be gambling a bit more. It maybe just the beginning, but we need some goals. As marcopolo said were toothless up top
  2. It seems everyone's fallen in love with this guy and he hasn't really played that much for us yet. But, after tonight's game, I can see why Martinez hasn't played him in any league games yet. For me, he seems a little too right foot biased. For the first 60 or so minutes - until he switched to the left - he tried to beat his man on the outside to get a cross in with his right foot. He didn't really come inside until he switched to the left (obviously onto his right foot) - and I can only remember him putting in one cross with his left foot. Along with that, you can see he's probably not quite up to the physicality of the Prem yet. He few too many times tonight, he was muscled off the ball too easily. He won one or two free kicks, but that's something he's going to have to work on. Don't get me wrong, I think this kid has got bags of talent. I just wanted to point out that I can see why he probably isn't quite as ready, as say Barkley is, to step up.
  3. For me I had to give it to Naismith - yeah, Barkley once again showed his quality, but I was impressed by Naismith's work rate today. He really put himself about, was all over the pitch and showed this for the whole 120 minutes.
  4. That's it!! I love Stonesy!
  5. The effort that must have gone into writing that article!
  6. Not to sure about this one, seems a little unambitious. That said, it's looks likely that we are after him and he could be an Everton player soon enough.
  7. Apparently interested in this keeper, according to some reports in Holland. http://www.twentefans.nl/nieuws/10246/-fiorentina-en-everton-willen-mihaylov-.html
  8. I think that search is tainted: Both Liverpool and Newcastle are straight city names, so will get searched for tourism reasons: if you try this it looks a little more healthy: http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=Everton%2C%20%20Liverpool%20fc%2C%20%20Newcastle%20untied%2C%20%20Manchester%20United%2C%20%20Tottenham&cmpt=q
  9. Won't complain at that fixture list. Good start, not too many occasions where we have back to back top teams
  10. I also voted top 4, but that is just my natural optimism. Realistically, if we get in one or two decent signings, and the core of the squad remains the same. I think we'll do similarly to this year. Maybe if things go our way, that would mean an Europa League spot, but overall, I think United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal will all strengthen; Liverpool and Spurs (if they manage to keep Bale), will also probable do similar, so I think we will struggle to get that CL place. I can see two mini leagues forming: United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal fighting for top four positions, Us , Liverpool and Spurs fighting for the best of the rest positions.
  11. A refreshingly new point of view from the media........ http://www.mirror.co...-asking-1647288
  12. I like this part Not really my second choice, but to be honest, it looks like he could be given a chance to prove himself now.
  13. Quite pleased with the kick off we've got. United at home should be motivation enough for a good start. And even a loss would not be the end of the world; if we do have our usual slow start then at least it's write-off-able, in my opinion.
  14. Signed for Southampton on 4-year deal according to SSN on Twitter
  15. Yeah, wasn't fully convinced about this before, but now I am starting to wonder. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2012/02/28/season-tickets-2012.12
  16. Pienaar for me, glad for Strac that he got his first prem goal too.

    Arsenal

Arsenal: Szczesny, Djourou, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Song, Arteta, Ramsey, Gervinho, Walcott, Van Persie. not hopefully for us getting much from this game.
  18. This.... ....but I'm getting used to it.
  19. I ask myself the question, if we were to get some investment, who would be the manager I would want at the helm. For all Moyes's failings, it would still be him. I honestly can't see who we could get in, in our present condition, who would do a better job; at best we would be swapping like for like, but with the inconvenience and distruption that accompanies a change of manager. I believe Moyes will leave Everton within the next few seasons unless we get that much talked about investment. What happens after that, is not something I particularly feeling excited or confident about.
  20. Thought you might have been talking about Bily there! (more or less) This! As far as I'm concerned, we haven't got a pot to piss in, we're low on numbers, and to be frank, beggars can't be choosers. I wish him well and keep my fingers crossed he'll have a positive influence on the team and it's the results.
