    As does Barkley. Strange one.

And youd honestly have thought that would be a fair decision if it was the other way around?

Coleman could have stayed on his feet then.

Lukaku has to at least get a shot there! Very very very poor from him expect so much more.

    He seems very deep.

Wouldn't have minded seeing besic instead.
  7. Someone will buy him for scraps, a lower premier league team or even in the lower leagues. Maybe a loan with a view to buying. I'd rather sell him for a bit less than half of what we paid for him that have him wasting wages every week, not actually getting on the field. Its a shame for him it really is I cant help but feel sorry for him.
  8. I think it's time to cash in on him. Hes missed a lot of football and I can't see him getting better anytime soon.
  9. I guess people want to see him retire because they cant bare to see him at another club, however don't want to see him crumble at Everton. The lad bleeds blue and it would be a shame if people started hating him from his last few performances, rather than idolise him for his devoted career at Everton. Its a tough one, maybe a year extension would be good, but I hope he joins the coaching staff along with Hibbo in the not too far future.
  10. I do apologise, I was agreeing with your post and then digressing on what others had been saying.
  11. This, however the lads 33, not 43, a lot of people moaning about his age. Its not the be all and end all, he's arguably one of the worlds greatest ever strikers, you can lose pace and stamina, but not ability overnight, the best players improvise, adapt and overcome, and we have a very very special player at Everton in Samuel Eto'o. IMO I think he could still start 25-30 games a season unphased, he, to me, dosnt look unfit what so ever. Drogba is 36, Di Natalie is 37, Totti is 38 for Christ sake, all of the aforementioned players are in the same ability category as Eto'o, and yet he's the youngest. If he doesn't get a year extension at the end of his current contract I'll be surprised. He will be pivotal to CL football, on the pitch and off.
  12. Howard Coleman Jags Alcaraz Baines McCarthy Barry Naismith Osman Etoo Lukaku Or maybe even 442?!
  13. I hope Barkley doesn't get a start tomorrow, the last thing I want to do is rush him and with all due respect to Burnley this is a game I believe we can afford to drop him. Lukaku hasn't really looked 100% fit this season because RM wont sit him out of PL matches. I'd like to see Ross come back into the squad as fit as he could be. Burnley have struggled this season, having not won a game home or away. Moreover, only scoring 4 goals in 8 games. We need to go all out at them tomorrow, 1 point wont be good enough against a side in this current form. Id like to see Coleman back in the starting line up along with McCarthey, Lukaku and Pienaar to start again, I think he'd do well in a game like this. I'll be upset without 3 point here tomorrow boys! Come on Bobby lets put a few past em!

Happy with that, although I'd have liked to see Atsu in instead of Barkley I think, with McGeady pushing through the centre. We've actually got a top squad with depth, I never really realise.

Aye, but at the same time I want us to field a strong enough side to give this game a good go. Im not backing us for three points, I dont think I would away at lille with our strongest squad out. Id be happy with a point, but im also happy in the knowledge thay Bobby is never happy with a point.

Id like to see a start given to Atsu, Etoo and Besic, and maybe Browning. Undecided on Barkley, maybe the best decision is to not rush him, but as someone mentioned maybe it will help to build match fitness. He looked alright in the first half against villa.
  17. And he speaketh the truth! Im just a pessimist!
  18. Opinion turned to fact pretty quickly didn't it! I don't care how he performs for the Jocks as long as he keeps scoring for us!
  19. Dont get me wrong Im excited to watch Besic, but he seems to be a bit hit and miss. Hes got all the potential in the world, but has a lot to learn.
  20. He's got nothing to prove any more, he's at a club with first team football and isn't on loan.
  21. Roberto said: "John Stones has been in terrific form ever since he played his first friendly in the USA," said Martinez. "Since then he has been growing as a footballer and he is a complete centre-half. "In the modern game you need centre halves who are as good in defensive duties as they are exposing one versus one situations and being good on the ball. "John has gone to the next level this season. He has shown he is ready for any challenge. "Every time he has played for England he has done well and he is growing at club level every game. "John is really well rounded but the focus is on what he can do at Everton - it is not up to me to measure his possibilities with the national team. "He is a leader. He is born with that quality. He has real high standards in everything he does and for a young man he has always got the right approach on a daily basis. "In my eyes he is a potential captain and leader, someone very close to Phil Jagielka and Gareth Barry. "He has a good core to learn from - Jagielka, Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz and it has been beneficial having Tim Howard behind him. "Clearly in the last few weeks he has earned his place and performances have shown that."
  22. Howard Hibbert Stones Jagielka Baines Gibson Barry McGeady Osman Atsu Eto'o (Subs: Robles, Oviedo, Browning, Alcaraz, Besic, Lukaku, Naismith).
  23. As nervous as I am, facing a team holding the underdog statement going in this match, lets not forget that most bookies have us as 2nd or 3rd favourites to win the competition at this stage (before CL entries come into the competition, of course; which I completely disagree with).
