  1. Who this Murs guy? Maybe we could get him on the cheap.
  2. To all those new to forums and tabloids. This is nothing unusual.
  3. Guys your hogging up this thread with this childishness now.
  4. At the moment speculation is all we have. The forum would be dull without it.
  5. Sorry about double post. Would have preferred Emery, but not disappointed with Koeman. Looks to have done a solid job at Southampton and could be just the guy we need to shore up our back four. I'm fact, I dont think we need to change much at all. A new manager...no matter who he/she is may be all that's needed. Fresh motivation to a squad that has the ability already.
  6. Rewind three months and people were saying it's unrealistic to hope for Koeman, why would he leave Southampton for us? Now there's a possibility we might have him....we don't want him. Our expectations have risen quite a bit now Moshiri is here.

  8. I think our expectations have scewed our judgement of his season. He has matured a lot thos season and has settled more into that deep midfield role. Yes we have tried to play him as an attacking no ten, but that's bit hos strength. His strength is receiving the ball from defence and moving it on. There have been many matches that I thought he was hard done by. But there were also so many matches where he was just plain lazy.
  9. He didn't actually say that though. I want him gone, but even I recognise he is a help of a goalscorer. Could get better? Well I hope so or Ross will be an also ran as well. Does he have the heart? No idea, he's still a kid. Goes he talk too much? Yes he does. Worst part of his character is his belief.
  10. Sorry being a child there. You did say a bad word though!
  11. Good post Pad. I do agree that we should play however we need to, to get back to winning ways. I want to see our players sweat blood. I want to see them collapse through effort. I want to see them scream and kiss thier badge when they score. A yellow from a celebration should go in a frame!
  12. Matt....Pad said I had a cob on...BAN HIM!
  13. My sole reason for supporting Everton is because I love them. Club and football come first. Trophys are something we are awarded occasionally as a reward for our football. Nil satis nisi optimum. Not.... How do you say....who gives a fuck as long as we win.....in Latin?
  14. Your all missing the point...all. No one WANTS to finish second or lower and play exciting stuff. Some want to play exciting stuff and challenge for the top, but would be happy to be challenging and playing great football. Some don't mind playing negative to win. Myself I would rather play football that excites me....be it, Fast Pressing Smooth Heart and guts Or even solid.... As long as it excites me. Would I want us to play boring football that's a pain to watch every week, just to get a trophy? No way would I. There isn't a type that wins titles. You need to he able to mix it, play exciting at times and dig deep at others. That's exciting football.
  15. But what you are talking about IS exciting. I honestly don't want to struggle and get battered every match and then get a lucky goal and win. I would honestly like us to build a team that is exciting to watch and then try and won a trophy with that team.
  16. To he fair Padd, Leicester were far from boring. Winning 1-0 doesn't have to be boring. I was quite impressed with thier hard working ethic. That is exciting for me. Doesn't have to be flair football to be exciting.
  17. Football for me is entertainment. I need to enjoy watching my team. I need to fall in love with them. The reason I support Everton and not one of the trophy teams is that the second I watched them I got hooked on the passion. Since the I have only grown more and more into an Evertonian. Whoever comes here better have the fans at heart before himself. Football comes first, trophy second for me. I'm a purist and still see football as a sport before a business.
  18. Haha that's a great tactic Barkleys shit as well. Add Stones and Besic to that too. Anyone listening?
  19. We only played negative football when Martinez tried to shore up his defence. Before that we were one of the most creative teams in the premier. We didn't really struggle to score...it was stopping them going in that was the problem.
  20. Reading that article I am really warming to the idea of Pellegrini. Someone mentioned having him here to lay our foundations and bringing a younger prospect in after a few years. This could be another very good appointment following the arrival of Moshiri.
