Some players are willing to work for it though. Rom wants to buy it with a transfer to a ready made trophy team. It's not about wanting to win either, your missing the point. It's the disrespecting the club that have you a chance when your own club didn't want you. Many players want to win things, just do it with a bit of dignity that's all.

I have witnessed loads of stirring moments from Jags, tackles, Headers and blocks that must have been painful. Just because he generally times them well doesn't mean he has no passion. If Jags shouted like Terry, would that make him a better player.....or just a mouthy twat?

It suggests it's how the manager constructs the team rather than an individual...don't you agree? And I still stand by my point that it would be harder to find a defender of stones class. Leicester just won the premiership and Spurs ran them to the wire. Neither had world class centre forwards.

Can't agree with this. Goalscorers aren't that difficult to find and got into a team. A ball playing defender in the mould of Rio Ferdinand come along a few times per generation

You don't need a world class forward to compete though do you. You need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net and a team that will create chances. Are Vardy and Kane world class?

Sounds like Moshiri has come in and reined on wasted time. Probably moved further forward more in three months than we have in three years. Going to be an interesting next twelve months.

The manager is more about buying players and working on the set up. The coaches are a lot more important these days. Get those right and the manager can use his influence to buy players and out his stamp on the style. But any manager will fail with the wrong team behind them. De Boer is a decent name you would think and could maybe influence some top players to come our way.
