Burnley don't tend to enjoy much possession so far this season. Combine that with our high possession game and we should come out with 65-70% possession. Although we have to do something with it. Burnley do create chances, but struggle to put them away. They've only scored 4 so far and have mostly played mid to bottom half teams. And I think we have found some more of our defensive solidity from last season. We know we create chances and we can put them away. We should be aiming for a clean sheet and 2 or 3 goals. Whatever team we put out should be capable of this. I'm not concerned by a 'European hangover' as we have several players back from injury and can make 5 or 6 changes to accommodate the extra fixtures. Whereas in the earlier euro games, we didn't have this luxury.

Not sure how Kev would take to playing in goal.

Best feeling in the world! I find it hard to put into words the feelings you have when your child is born. Best thing to ever happen to me. Pretty much as Haf said...really helps to put life in order. And things into perspective. What's important, what's not. Who's important, who's not (although this forum can drag you into the darkness )

Yeah. Pretty much. I'm just doubtful if Barkley will be expected to start again.

It's the end product that needs tidying up. He leaves opponents for dead, ties them in knots, ties himself in knots and then wastes the ball. Not every time, but it seems to be the pattern. It's a shame because I like this sort of 'up and at em' player. I hope he comes good because we could do with what he potentially could bring.

I always find it encouraging when we ain't playing too well but still doing enough. We haven't played our strongest 11 yet have we? Maybe we'll play 'properly' once or if we get through the group. Or if results hadn't gone our way so far, RM may have picked different teams. Many are getting valuable game time. I suppose that's quite important.

Oh god. Here we go.... The problem is that within the groups of Evertonians, you can see on the videos the odd one or 2 throwing bottles/cans, setting off flares etc. Rather than our club pull out or Lille get banned, both of which will not happen, get rid of these few. Because it could have been a lot worse. Not that it excuses what the police did or what happened the night before. But I guess it just happens sometimes?

I think with Hibbert we have a more conservative approach. And we've needed that this season. Play him when the gungho approach is best left alone. He's been a pro in his games this season.

I think we got what we intended to play for...A point. Nothing spectacular about it. But it's a good point away from home. We are in a good position. Win the home games, draw the away. Good stuff. Frustrated with our final 3rd play. Broke down too often with misunderstood runs and movement. But I guess with 6 changes it is bound to happen. It'll do.
