  1. What the fuck Tim Edit: Nvm, just saw the replay
  2. Gerry reminds me of Gareth Bale while he was at Spurs when he pulls that shit. And I fucking hated Bale while he was at Spurs.
  3. Why does Gerry play for a fucking free kick there? He had him beat, just skin the prick and go beat the keeper. Instead chance goes to waste and he gets booked for cheating.
  4. Cant believe I'm saying this about Stoke but jeez they look potent in attack.
  5. Very lucky Eliot punched the ball straight at Clev, otherwise we'd be all complaining about a 0-0 draw, which once again, should have been 3 points. Was ecstatic we got the win, but it was more a stroke of luck in my eyes. If Clev didn't react so quick Martinez would be piled under more pressure and we'd all be more grumpy than before. Hardly think Martinez deserves credit, purely for this reason. Call me pessimistic, but we still aren't converting opportunities in the final third, and if not for Mitrovic bottling that sure-thing of a header, we would have only just rescued a point. It shouldn't be that hard to score against Newcastle with the quality of players we have - they'd conceded the second most goals this season in the whole league, just behind Sunderland. I don't think I'll really see this as a victory unless we can back it up against Stoke and Spurs.
  6. Janmaat should be off and the Kak should have had a pen.
  7. Good to see Mirallas looking lively. Hopefully he makes Martinez look stupid today for having him benched so long.
  8. 3 points from Norwich, Bournemouth, Palace & Leicester. Fuck off.
  9. This is so damn frustrating to watch because Leicester haven't even been that good. They're 11 players that just work for each other and take their chances when they come. Imagine if Everton could punish teams from half chances like Leicester do. Fucking over this, watching this team struggle to do anything. I've been behind Martinez since day dot, and never jumped on the bandwagon to see him outed last season, but he's really starting to piss me off picking the same fucking side every week which clearly isn't getting the job done. What do they say is the definition of insanity? Repeating the same process and expecting different results? I'd say that's pretty fucking applicable.
  10. It was at the 55minute mark I started thinking we needed a sub for Kone. Why it came ill never know. There was no pace about our attack late in the game, just get it to Gerri and hope he comes up with the miracle ball. He had Souare covered most times I thought, but his final ball was poor besides the assist for Rom. That's where we need Baines and someone ahead of him with some link up to create. Looking back on the Moyes era it seems a bit strange that it was our right side that got all the attention whilst the left did nothing.
  11. I feel this is stupidly naive of me to believe possible, but I would love to see RM field at least 2 of our natural wingers in this game. Credit to Kone, he's been good this season, but it kills me seeing Mirallas and Lennon on the bench each week given what the latter did for us at the back end of last season, and given what we all know Mirallas can do. The back 4 don't worry me, nor do our options at holding mid, but if I see Osman or Naismith named on the flank instead of Kev/Lennon/Geri I'm going to cry.
  12. For me a return to the top 8 and a decent cup run would be ideal. I think it's a bit too ambitious to go back to our standards of two seasons ago, when we nearly cracked the top four. The knockdown and rebuild job from last season will be too much, though hopefully it'll set us up for a decent charge in the next couple of seasons. The catch is whether or not the young core of this squad (Stones, Barkley, McCarthy, Deulofeu) will be here in those coming seasons to actually have a decent go.
  13. Sydney. Most games are shown at 2am Sunday morning, havent actually checked what time this one is cause of the break but it may well be at midnight or even 7am[emoji28]
  14. I hope we go out and absolutely maul them. This whole Stones saga has rocketed the plastics up to my most hated fans. If ever there were a game I would again fly across the world to get to Goodison for it'd be this one. I felt the same about the time Moyes and United came back to Goodison in Martinez' first season, and we wiped the floor with them that day. You scousers best have the ground bouncing that day! I reckon I'll wake my whole street at 3.30am when I roar at Mirallas double footing Terry at 3-0 up
  15. Didnt catch the Barnsley game, but seen the video of the goal where he "skips" over the ball, infering hes trying to rock the boat. Was there anything in that? I think the social media landscape with twitter and shit tends to blow things out of proportion, but I didnt actually see it live.
  16. I'm just picturing my old man doing this and it's made my day. Bernard no good at 82? That would make him in our top 3 or 4 players! Yes I play a bit of FIFA myself...
  17. As mentioned that was more about the huge anti climax of that window. If I remember correctly we were pushing the top four behind chelsea and arsenal with Tottenham behind us, we were begging for a big signing after a quiet summer window and Moyes came out and signed an unknown centre back for the future. I remember being unhappy with the signing but it was aimed at Moyes and the board, not Stones.
  18. Hypothetically, at what point would you guys be happy to take the cash for him? I mean, I love Stones to bits, but imagine a 30-40m bid... could buy you an already established CB and possibly a world class striker too. I would hate to see him leave for the record. Interesting though, this Chelsea bid made me remember back to that January transfer window when we were crying out for Moyes to bring someone in, and he bought the unheard of Stones from Barnsley for a mill. I reckon TT nearly crashed that day.
  19. No way Howard is to blame for that goal. If you whip in a ball at pace, the amount of time it takes for the ball to travel 6 yards once someone gets a foot on it (with good contact, too), is miniscule. That could have beaten any keeper in the world. Yes Howard is in shit form but blaming him for that goal is ridiculous.
  20. 1. Arsenal - as people have said, got to have respect for Wenger, though it seems like they're the cry babies of the EPL. Always have something to sook about. 2. City - dont so much hate their fans, cause majority seem to be somewhat humble and have their heads screwed on and realize theyre only big because some oil baron saw profit margins. Their players piss me off though, and they were probably my most hated club when Mancini was there. He was an arrogant, self entitled twat. 3. Liverpool - havent got the geographical rivalry being an aussie though I do dislike them. Fans think they're on Barcelonas scale in terms of prestige. Try again mate. 4/5. Chelsea and Man U, both rotate depending what week it is. Arrogant bandwagon fans who simply chose them because they were the best team at the time. Always patronize and talk down to others, and they seem to think a football match is a movie and theyre the good guys, who should eventually win. Their managers always seem to be arrogant twats too. I hate Chelsea at the moment for the way they bully referees into making decisions. They did it to Barry at the bridge and did it to Ibrahimovic the other night. As Ibra put it, theyre a bunch of babies.
  21. Im completely the opposite. I want to take something from this shit pile of a season. As long as we finish 17th or higher I couldn't care about the league. Obviously most people are of the belief that we'll be flat out reaching 17th, but I'd like to respectfully disagree with that.
  22. Its form mate. Same squad playing the same style with shit results. There's no shit players in blue out there, just players not performing to their ability.
  23. Kone has to start for me. As mentioned, hes a decent striker. He impressed at Wigan and hes on the books so why not give him a run out? Would love to see Pienaar and Osman get a crack, weve missed some of their creativity.
  24. Cant believe we're in a relegation scrap with fucking Leicester at home. Due respect to them, but fuck have we fallen from this time last season.
