Looks like Luton are bottling it against Brentford... We have to take this chance tomorrow. Which probably means we'll bottle it too

So the second commission accepted that the loss of earnings from USM as a mitigating factor, but the first one (two) didn't??
"However, the commission accepted Everton's arguments for mitigation in relation to the fact the club has:
- Already been deducted points this season
- Suffered a loss of revenue because of the suspension of a sponsorship deal with Russian company USM
- Made an early admission of guilt"
-
I know it should be irrelevant but I imagine if we'd have drawn/lost the game then you would have heard a lot more uproar about it.

Ffs what is that

Surely the new rules will be going forward, not retrospective? Ridiculous if so. Means any of the top 6 can break the rules whenever they want then get a bail out when they change the rules after the crime has been committed.

Just for fun here's a look at the squad at the end of the season
Out of contract: Lonergan, Crellin, Coleman, Young, Dele, Gomes, Gana, Harrison (loan end), Danjuma (loan end)
GK - Pickford, JVirginia
RB - Patterson
CB - Tarky, Branthwaite, Keane, Godfrey, Holgate
LB - Myko
CM - Onana, Garner, Doucoure
W - McNeil, Dobbin
ST - DCL, Beto, Chermiti, MaupayMakes the takeover that much important, the fact that we currently have an owner that doesn't want to put in any more money and an incomplete starting 11. We're gonna be looking at maximum loans for another year.

Hope we're getting a fee/good chunk of his wages covered. Bit of a risky move if he does well...

Bad headline but if they're working their contracted hours and not being paid any overtime then we'd all do the same in our jobs.

Not surprised anyone wanted to show it after the first game.

Was rewatching (autocorrect tried to change that to retching, not far off ) and I'm wondering something. If Masters said that if City broke FFP they'd be charged too in the same way... Doesn't that imply they're not under investigation for financial breaches? If so, how the actual fuck not?
I might be wrong but I think he said if City had breached in the last financial records they'd be under the same timeframe as us (and other small clubs!). I guess they submitted 'clean' accounts this year.

Really hoping we give some key players a rest for this one given the uncertainly surrounding our standing in the table. Not happy about it but we have to prioritize the league.
Couple of weeks off til the next game though. I think he'll go for it. Especially with Luton in the next round (not that that'll be easy)

That was the first time in 7 or 8 games we've looked poor, so that's a massive plus point looking at the big picture. Well beaten today, so I can't really pick a MOTM. We looked absolutely shattered. Let's put it behind us, rest, and smash Villa with hopefully a full and rested squad. We've earned 26 points over the first half of the season, all we have to do is do it again

Agreed, not overly confident with Onana and Gana pairing though both good on their day they don’t really complement each other. I would rather have seen O’Neil on the right Danjuma on the left Garner in the middle with Onana and Harrison in Doucoure’s position.
Oh 100%. Minus Doucoure it's probably the best we could hope for though. Will it be Garner in the Doucoure role do we think? I can't really see Onana there and I'm not sure how effective Garner would be on the wing with Harrison in the middle.

Myko back, Patto starting, Gomes on bench... Looks good to me

He's out against Burnley. Big miss but maybe not the worst game for him to miss. Dreading seeing Keane again though!

It's funny how clubs are bitter about going down instead of us because we spent so much money, when it's the stupid amounts of money we've spent on bang average players for massive losses that's got us in relegation battles in the first place.
Money (and reckless spending/management of) has provided us with instability and mediocrity, we'd be nowhere near relegation battles if we'd never had moshiri's money.

I still think we'll just use him as much as we can towards the end of the season without triggering a payment. Then reassess from both sides if we want to re-sign him on a free. Hopefully we'll be smart about it, no one really knows what kind of player he can be right now.
-
Only 5 outfield players on the bench... Also Keane not even in the squad. About the best 11 we can field at the minute though I guess!

Thelwell is supposedly trying to renegotiate the Dele deal… good luck with Levy!!!
His contract runs out next year, right? I wonder if we'll use him for the max amount of games towards the end of the season without triggering the payment. Then assess and offer him a new contract as a free agent if he does well, to get around the fee. No idea on the details of the trigger payments, mind.

Shame to see him go. Lets hope there are some buy back clauses.
Or at least a promotion add-on

Any ITK's mentioned 20m? Seems to good to be true.

That defeat was almost like losing 4 points. Always thought our goal difference this season would be an advantage at the end of the season.
