So you mention we escaped relegation by “luck” and then say you would rather take a “chance” on the kids.

so what is it? Are you favouring relying on luck of not cos you aren’t making sense?

Joe royle got in the team at 16…. Rooney did too.  Talking about two “men” at boys ages.  To my knowledge we don’t have a Joe royle or a Wayne Rooney in the reserves. Nearest we have is Tom cannon who is getting a chance to prove it - so are you saying buy no one?  Tried that last year didn’t we…. Worked well didn’t it.

then you mention if we get relegated we will come back up with the kids?! Ffs. We have players on 100k a week with no relegation clauses who would be sold at cut price.  Put the shovel down ffs.

    Kopite, don't bite.

Yep, I can't argue with you there. I guess it comes down to principles v pragmatism and if signing him got us to 40 points by March I think I could live with it but I do understand and fully respect the opinions of those who couldn't.

We need everyone to be on the same page this year, we need to fans to all be united and get behind the team 100%. You're going to get sections of the supporters booing our own players from the get go. Whilst I agree with both sides, this would undoubtedly split the fan base and that's exactly what we don't need right now. Steer clear for me.

  3. “Our contract with Dele Alli is over. He was a player we were very excited about when he came. He won’t come back. We didn’t get what we expected from him. I hope he recovers as a human.”

Actually feel for the guy, mental health issues are obviously hard to recover from, but for it to be plastered over shitrags every day must destroy you.

On the other hand, if he knows he's not up for it anymore then he's just knowingly stealing £5.2m from us over the next 12 months knowing he'll never have to kick a ball...

I understand your point but Coady is also reliable (well, a lot more reliable than Holgate, Keane and Godfrey) and he is a leader. I rate him above all three of those and for £4.5 million I think he is a solid back up. The only way I am happy with this now is if Keane and Holgate also leave (I’ll give Godfrey the long covid benefit of the doubt for now) and they are replaced with much better quality.

I'd also have him over Holgate, Godfrey and Keane. They'd also probably get more than 4.5m each too. We must have a new strict policy of not signing anyone who's value is only likely to go down or something.
