I'm not sure how West Ham are as high as 5/1 to be relegated. Yes they have a game in hand but they still have to play Arsenal, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Man City & Man Utd. They've got 7 games in April so if they lose their next game away to Fulham they could be in free fall

Dele and Gomes in midfield next season.
Thankfully he's out of contract next season
Just shy of 30m in wages for his service over the last 5 years...

If we're stuck with him next season for his last year of his contract, does anyone know the financial ramifications of him playing a bit part here and there? I know his fee with Tottenham was structured on appearances but was that only for the first period of time? I doubt he will even set foot on the pitch but if we're fucked with a transfer embargo then we probably need to use everyone available

My predictions, should see us safe on 38 points. It's a shame the Bournemouth game is on the last day because out of all of the teams we have left, that's a definite must win...
Tottenham (h) - 1
Man u (a) - 0
Fulham (h) - 3
Palace (a) - 1
Newcastle (h) - 1
Leicester (a) - 1
Brighton (a) - 1
City (h) - 0
Wolves (a) - 1
Bournemouth (h) - 3Holding on for a point against several teams this season is going to be very important.

Still such a strange player for me, he almost doesn't look like a professional footballer most of the time. He's just so gangly and can never get the ball to stick to his feet, completely irrelevant as long as he's contributing to our goal tally though!

Literally no one on the bench that would be likely to come on and grab a goal

Both of Soton's center halfs go off in the first half with injuries.
Bournemouth, Soton and Leicester all down at the half
You deserve a downvote

The bottom 9 teams (those in contention to go down) currently have around 0.94 points per game average. On the same form, the average of the bottom 9 come end of season would be 35.7 points. Make of that what you will

Wild theory - Gray hasn't been playing because Dyche has been training him up to be a striker. It's not the maddest idea seeing as he's our top scorer. Square pegs in round holes etc but anything is worth a try at this stage surely.

I hate looking at what possible points we have to come, and almost going into games thinking it's OK we can lose this one because we have so and so next week. This is Everton, it's pointless guessing who we're going to take points off. Let's just go into every game knowing that there's no game we can't come away with 3 points from, which in reality, there isn't.

What an assist that would have been though

The way he glides around Odegaard at 2 minutes is brilliant, he stands no chance of catching him up. It's like when you see Bolt running, it almost looks effortless and that he has another gear left. Hope we can keep him fit

He may go on to prove us wrong and be worth it and more, but given what we've seen from him so far this is an excellent piece of business.
I mean this is the reality of it isn't it. As a club we are on the brink of disaster. We have a £40m asset that can be sold to potentially save our season. £40m sat on the bench wanting away from the club. It's a no brainer that we get him sold on, along with anyone else who doesn't want to stay for the fight for that matter. But we have to replace them all (plus a few additions) with recruits who want to put everything on the line to fight for survival for this club...

I'm sure this has already been posted somewhere:
Seems like a genuine, very knowledgeable guy. Everything he is saying is based on facts and experience, he's realistic and very down to earth. Quite happy to see us switch to a 4-4-2 if its easier for the players to become organised and get used to quickly.

Hate the fact that I'm preparing for life in the championship rather than looking for wins in the league

We're finished.

We probably cant even play him otherwise we will need to pay Spurs!
Probably true tbh. Was it 10 games that triggers the 40m? Wiki says he's already played 13
I imagine we'll find some chumps to loan him out to for the rest of the season. Maybe a triumphant return to MK Dons...
