He said that at the moment people only ever seem to mention that moment when thye think of his career and that now he hoped they would think of him more than just some chap who scored a quick goal. Women's logic in such things puts you in a lose/lose situation every time ("Does my bum look big in this?" "What are you thinking?" etc ad infinitum). Drunk it's an even more hopeless situation. Have you never Ctrl/Alt/Del'd Bill? Been a life saver for me on many occasions .
