jamiemaher85
Got my wisdom teeth coming through at the moment and i'm in alot of pain. One of them has come through at a wierd angle and has come through the side of my gums so now have a fun trip to the dentist to have it removed. At the moment though i am dosed up on antibiotics, they are very strong as well, can't stop falling asleep all the time, but its nice to have some time off work though..... if it wasn't for the blinding pain that is

Claire
What sort of teaching are you going to do? Primary I could deal with but damn stressful with some of the older ones I'd have thought. Had a lot of teacher friends in London who's one word answer when asked why they chose it as a career was "August." Yeah primary I'm going on a school trip tomorrow, 60 children on the beach with paper mache swords re-enacting a Viking battle!!

MikeO
On another note, homemade shepherd's pie is absolutely beautiful You never said a truer word Mark! I went shepherds pie-less for more than twenty years because my primary school's version of it was so bad (gristly mince, lumpy potato, no other ingredients, served with cabbage that had been boiled for three hours), but now I'm a big fan!! I haven't had it for about 8 years and it hit the spot just right - lots of mash so I'm full up to the brim now. I don't think we'll be leaving it another 8 years to have it again. Funny enough I'm looking at going back into education, I've done bits and pieces over the years at colleges and a course at Bristol Uni, but I've just got an OU prospectus . Undecided on the direction yet but I reckon I'll give it a go....gotta make a bit of use of the grey matter before it fails completely . My MOT's due in three weeks Mark....always a worrying time . jamiemaher85
What kind of thing are you leaning towards (subject area wise) and are you looking at BA or MA level?
MikeO
Not aiming too high to start Jamie, just going to give it a go and see how I get on. Subject wise, off the top of my head, Literature/Creative Writing is a possible...most of the stuff I've done has been around counselling so taking that a stage further and trying Psychology is another. I've always been good at languages....and...er...I also quite fancy environmental studies. There are others but that's the top of the list at the mo....need to sit down and give it some thought . aaron
i had to fork out £37 after a near miss, i ended up slamming on to avoid a car that was on my side of the road, the back wheel then hit the curb and it was badly damaged that i had to buy a new wheel. MikeO
Why can't Americans say "warrior?" TV, movie, real life....all of them pronounce it "woyer." Just a thought .
Mac
This thread is quite something, still going strong. Trying to get myself back in the land of the blue but the "credit crunch" has affected me too. Anyone got a cheap PC for sale, am sick of having to go to the library, plus they dont like it when you view animal porn. ATB Mac
