Jimmy the blue
he'd be cup tied, right? Might not be as UEFA is a different competition, he played in the Champs League pre dead line

Bill
16.000.000 euros is 13.000.000 pounds ------- not much more than we paid for Yakubu. What bothers me is the salary thats quoted (90.000 euros), thats just over 70.000 pounds a week, thats a lot of money for us. I think its a done deal. All these papers are quoting a 5 year deal, the fee, and the wages.
Blue4Ever
this seems a done deal now....I seen it somewhere saying he was a defender, we all no he isnt but maybe that means he is good defensively?

Fella
His salary of 90.000/week is a lot even for Premier League standards (love that word ), isn't it?
Romey 1878
It's still not good enough though is it? I mean, one big money signing is not really going to change our team too much. Especially as he's young and very much unproven.

I think it's sheer desperation, we have left it so late and we NEED to sign someone otherwise we're probably staring at bottom half, fan unrest and possibly Moyes walking out so we've just thrown everything at Liege to get him. He looks a good player though, although I've only seen him play once!

Adam
Think we all going to feel depressed when this doesnt happen. If it was then it would have been reorted on everton website or on sky sports news

Especially as he's young and very much unproven. He puts his foot in as much as Carsley, looked athletic and is massive - if he can do the job Carsley did and more then he's worth every penny. If only we'd signed Obinna we could have had some team once Pienaar/Cahill were back. At the moment, especially with Osman out, we have absolutely nothing in midfield except for Fellaini, Castillo and Arteta.

Fella
First they said 90.000/month, but this has been changed to per week. In Belgium we don't have the habit if working with weekly numbers. Players don't make that much here

EFC-Paul
Yeah think your right Romey i think we all know we needed more players of a better quality but saying that am sure not many had seen Arteta play before he signed or highly rated him and he imo changed alot about our side so i hope if this comes of this lad can do the same
