RuffRob
http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=38...ove+for+Sidwell This lad could really shine in the Prem - and be worth huge money in a year or two's time. Reading steamrollered the Championship last season and Sidwell was instrumental. He is only 23 and already matured well (won best player outside the Prem at 21 year old!!!) One year on his contract, He is the sort of player that is well within our price range and wage structure, and hungry to do well in the Prem. I would look at him as an investment, so worth making a few more quid available to buy him.
GoldfishMemory
I heard somewhere that Villarreal were interested in him!
Bill
Is he any better than what we already got, who would you leave out to play him. ??
Rob W
if he goes to charlton i can see another nathan ellington situation coming on..he leaves for a 'bigger' club only for his old club to finish in the top half and the bigger club goes down. he should stick with reading, they will be hungry for it this season
StevO
who will sign for a club without a manager anyway?
Zed
We were after him last year or the year before but reading wanted 5 mil then
Pat
El corecto zed & part of their ( Reading's)reasoning was we are ambitous & why would we sell 1 of our better players as we aim to be promoted. Why then sell now?
Romey 1878
Because he doesnt have long left on his contract and it doesnt look like hes wanting to sign a new contract so they probably just want to cash in on him
Bill
Any money should be spent in other areas of the squad, Midfield is not an area we need to improve on, its centre half and strikers that are a priority. I would'nt drop Neville, Cahill, Arteta, or Osman, to play Sidwell.
