Guest blueboy122
Everton r reported to be the in the lead with wigan over robert huth from chelsea the fee is belived to be 5.5 mil. cant find link bt on the bbc website under football gossip for 2day wa u think lads good buy or not <_<
Romey 1878
I think £5.5million is a bit steep for us, but there is no doubt he is a quality player and i wouldnt mind having him in our team if we could afford it
Finn balor
I'd like him but the only way we could get him was if we sold Joey and i wouldn't.
thebluenose
hibbert yobo huth valente not a bad defence.
Bill
Wigan have had bids accepted for two players, wouldnt be a bit surprised if Huth is the other one, along with Johnson. These two players would make a hell of a difference to our Team, and i'll be sick as a pig if we lose out on both of them..........to WIGAN FFS. Romey 1878
The media seem to think it is Huth who the other accepted bid is for, it just goes to show what ambition does for a club eh?
Adam
Yeah read that Wigans bid for huth has been accepted and they have out bid us. Here we go again. Getting outbided for everyone Altough I am sure we will get a valid reason as to why we could out bid by a club for 2 players that has only spent 1 season in the premiership. Happy Days ahead
Romey 1878
DM will come out and say a few days after they have both gone that we tried but we felt that the two players in question were just not worth the price tag. For fuck sake youve got to pay more for the better players
CraccerC
^ not always the case ... arteta, yobo, cahill none of them commanded a huge fee like Johnson is....and i know hes a striker but as u mentioned urself in another post u gotta take risks.....thats exactly what charlton did and look how bent did... its better to take tht risk than 8.5, a risk tht cud potentially cause more damage
Bill
Its not a risk tho is it. Beattie was a bigger risk, unfit for six months before he played. Aj is in the England squad.........the risk is not getting him and finishing the lowest scoring team in the prem. Relegation will loom again. Fatboyquim
If Huth does come to Goodison - he wont be playing alongside Yobo. Rumour has it he is off to London with either Chelsea or Arsenal.

smeghead1
May be a case where we swap Yobo for Huth and to be honest that wouldn't upset me to much aslong as we recieved a few quid in the deal aswell. I never realised how young Huth was he's not even 21 yet is he?? Correct me if im wrong but that wouldn't be a bad deal, altho i have to admit i am a fan of Yobo's even tho his concentration levels are around that of a goldfish at times
CraccerC
agreed but i dnt think theyd want yobo, id prefer senderos perhaps.. i like him as a player and think hes starting to become a really good player

Maybe he hadn't realised that you can push and pull players in the prem league, he seems to have got to grips with it now tho!!
CraccerC
yeh and he was immense in europe, and i think with him being a mainly bench player wed have a good chance ... hes made a few mistakes but hes last season mroe games he played, it was clear how he was improving, he was unlucky to get injured and miss the final
Romey 1878
I wouldnt mind Senderos either tbh, he does look quality but i doubt DM would go after him. I wouldnt mind having Huth either, and the report is that they want Yobo and they are willing to sell Huth so you never know
smeghead1
Ive also read a really funny report that Fulham are after Sol Campbell!!! How upset do you think he'l be when he hears about this!! An appearance in the Champions League one season the next fighting relegation!!! The people who reported this must still be under the influence of some really heavy drugs!!! http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=153274 Edited May 28, 2006 by smeghead1

smeghead1
http://www.fansfc.com/chelseafootballclub/...p?newsid=153090 According to this report about how unhappy he is at Chelsea he's 21!! I have to admit i thought he was older than that, i thought he was a decent player when i thought he was around 27, christ he'l be really good in a few years!! Romey 1878
I think hes actually 20 but probably close to
StevO
id be quite happy if we got AJ and Huth, and no one else. id rather us buy 2 quality players than 4more average joe's like normal. a bit of ambition goes a long way

Romey 1878
With ambition it takes a while to get the team sorted, you have to do it in stages - buy one or two top class players in each transfer window we just have to be patient
thebluenose
good point there. you never see chelsea or manu buying 5 or 6 players but rather 2 well known quality players maybe 2 young academy players. we should be doin the same if we are to progress further

smeghead1
yes but they already have a squad <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Then again it took Ferguson how many years to win anything??? Wasn't he under the threat of being sacked just before the team clicked??? As they say Rome wasn't built in a transfer window
StevO
fergie had Kidd doin alot of gound work with the kids, then they all came through within 2 years of each other. but some of his signings have been fantastic over the years
