IMO only two of Osman, Arteta and Neville should be playing in the middle as I dont imagine any of them can support the striker that well! They're pressing our midfielders and forcing sloppy passes and when we do get a direct ball to Saha he has 2 defenders on him and he can't flick it on. Bailey Posted August 7, 2010 Report Share Posted August 7, 2010 While I dont think its the end of the world if we lose this game, it does kinda annoy me that Moyes would put out a side that doesnt really fit together to play the type of football we have been playing, earlier in the pre-season and late last season. It actually makes me worry that Moyes still isnt learning, especially when we have players who are more than capable of playing that type of role on the bench. We shouldnt play with a straight one up front but none of Osman or Arteta are best alongside the striker. Neville isnt a midfielder, so dont play him there unless its essential.
