Romey 1878 Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Jay Bothroyd is in the England squad . No place for Baines... what an idiot Capello is. Edited November 13, 2010 by Romey 1878 Quote
MikeO Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Some strange ones there... Foster, Robert Green, Joe Hart; Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Kieran Gibbs, Phil Jagielka, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Chris Smalling, John Terry; Gareth Barry, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Adam Johnson, James Milner, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Ashley Young; Gabriel Agbonlahor, Jay Bothroyd, Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch. Think Capello picks his squad purely on the basis of reading the tabloids. And what possible justification is there for picking Smalling? Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 I'm absolutely baffled as to how Gibbs gets in ahead of Baines when he doesn't even get to play for Arsenal unless Clichy is injured . The sooner this Italian dickhead is gone the better. Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 really capello?? gibbs and smalling?? really??? FUCK YOU!! Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Ashley Cole pulls out of the England squad... Warnock called up. Go and jump in a fire Capello, you dick. Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 harsh on bainesy though...2nd best left back in this country behind cole Quote

Romey 1878 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Joe Hart's out tonight too. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Word is that Jags is playing RB, Ferdinand and Lescott at CB, with Gibbs at LB. Erm... Quote
MikeO Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Word is that Jags is playing RB, Ferdinand and Lescott at CB, with Gibbs at LB. Erm... Foster; Jagielka, Ferdinand ©, Lescott, Gibbs; Henderson, Barry; Walcott, Gerrard, Milner; Carroll . Quote
MikeO Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Quote on 606.... "There are only two types of England games these days - the false dawn, and the reality check." So true. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 That defence is going to get torn to shreds IMO. Jags will be exposed at RB because, to be honest, he's shite there, AND he hasn't played there in aaaages. Lescott hasn't played anywhere for a a few weeks now. Ferdinand looks finished at the highest level. Gibbs hasn't played regularly either. Capello really does get worse with each squad he picks. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 We could be in for a tonking here. Oh well. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 This is actually quite funny - a keeper that will never be good enough for this level, a defence that looks incredibly uncomfortable and disorganised, a midfield that doesn't look like it has a clue what to do, and a non-existent forward line. Did Fabio get anything right? Quote
MikeO Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 BBC "Fabio Capello's men couldn't find a team-mate with a torch and a map right now." Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 got a bit better towards the end but jags is just not a right back..poor guy Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 jags to cb for second half...thankfully Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) gerrard has injured himself which is good..pretty sure he's handed the armband to jags edit: commentator said milner has it and he's right...sure i saw the armband on someone in the cb position though..ah well would've been nice..fuck knows why milner has it Edited November 17, 2010 by marcopaulo Quote
The Beard Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) It's no wonder that I find it hard to get excited about International football, well England anyway. Granted it was a friendly but we have a left back who is understudy to the opponents substitute left back. A centre half who has barely played all season and another that looks over the hill (if he was ever under or on the hill), a centre half deployed as a right back and possibly the best midfielder (I know it's hard to admit) playing practically as a second striker, which nullifies his game. Torn apart by a rebuilding team, who had pace, skill and guile which we tried to match with the long ball and endeavour. One word to describe it all really, SHITE!!!! Edited November 17, 2010 by The Beard Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 we bring on bothroyd...they bring on remy... nuff said really Quote
Bill Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I know it was only a friendly but we were without .... Hart, Johnson, Terry, A Cole, J Cole, Lampard, Rooney, and Defoe, was there any others.? How many of their top players did the French leave out. ? Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 would joe cole really get in that team? and is glen johnson really that good? ashley cole yeah is a big miss...jags is not a miles worse player than terry..strikers yeah we were weak with rooney and defoe and lampard has a scoring nack aswell..the team wasnt majorly weak though not enough to excuse the shite performance anyways Quote

If they were all fit and playing regular, every one of them would be in the squad. Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 yeah and i just said it wasnt majorly weak because the ones to back most of the players up arent rubbish..jagielka for terry not a massive difference...joe cole isnt doin the business and i think milner/johnson/young are better..rooney, defoe and lampard probably wouldn't all start together... players missin wise it was weakened but the replacements aren't shite so in my eyes the team wasn't weakened enough to excuse the shower of shit we were subjected to Quote
The Beard Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I may be wrong but where some of the French team suspended since the world cup fiasco? Anelka, Ribery, Evra, Toulalan for example? Quote
