Romey 1878
Simon Jones. Took 5-44 & 6-53 in 2005 Ashes. I miss him, he was an exciting player.

Romey 1878
exciting? a cricket player!? really??!?!?! Lol yeah. Every time he'd come on to bowl he'd take a wicket. Dreadful run of injuries for years now . I know, it's sad because he really was an integral part of us winning the Ashes in 2005.

MikeO
And we have them 4 down going into the last day. Hopefully the rain stays away! Getting Clarke out with the last ball of the day might be crucial I think. Oz have a dodgy tail and under normal circumstances we should win it.....but the fact that the bookies have got a draw as favourite suggests the weather is going to screw us . Doesn't look promising... http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/283?

Bill
England on top at the end of day one. Aussies 268 all out. England 29 for no wicket.
troy8
Just got back from Perth, what an amazing four days of cricket! First day I thought us Aussies were done for, instead stellar performances from Johnson, Hussey and Harris gave us a well deserved victory Looking very much forward to the remaining two tests

Romey 1878
I thought England were over these stupid batting collapses when under pressure. How wrong was I? One player who needs dropping is Collingwood. He's there simply for his fielding and that he can come on and bowl a few overs economically, because he's a shocking batsman. bluehuddo
Great Start again got the Aussies 4/53 at lunch. Great wicket by Anderson. Just need to go on with it. Think the Aussies have made a big mistake not playing a spinner
BrotherEstapol
The Aussie cricket team are fucking rubbish! Congrats England!
Romey 1878
I went to bed when we had them 77 for 7. Looks like at least 2 of our batsmen have remembered that the Aussie bowling attack is actually a bit poor!
Jimmy the blue
I have a smile on my face the width of the Mersey, the Aussies don't like it up'em you know
MikeO
My wife woke me up with the news of this this morning...even she was laughing and she doesn't understand shit about cricket. "How many wickets have we lost?" I asked. Got a blank look (she didn't actually say "What's a wicket?" but she thought it ). Had to wait for the news to come on the find the extent of the destruction. Quality!

Jimmy the blue
Shit we've let them back into it, 246 behind with four wickets remaining and yes we have yet to bat in our second innings................................Aussies do rain dance while preparing gallows for Ranting Ricky Edited December 28, 2010 by Jimmy the blue
Romey 1878
I hope they take the last 4 wickets in the first session because I've got to stay up to watch us retain the Ashes in their own backyard!
MikeO
I hope they take the last 4 wickets in the first session because I've got to stay up to watch us retain the Ashes in their own backyard! Likely to only need three....Ryan Harris unlikely to bat . If we can get the first one early the last two/three should roll over quickly. Happy days. (And no Matt, we haven't won yet.....and won't have won the series [yet] even if we win this one, but we will have retained the ashes....clear?)
