MikeO
Is anyone watching? Is it a good goal? No...but... It's his first league goal in 11 months and Louis Saha has put Everton in front, the Frenchman cutting in from the left and slamming low into Heurelho Gomes's bottom corner from 20 yards. MikeO
I hate scoring that early . Three minutes from the end would have done nicely.

Steve_E
Coleman, Saha and Beckford did well closing them down high up the pitch there as well. Now do that for 90 minutes. Edited January 5, 2011 by Steve_E
Bailey
Is it me or is Beckford playing as deep as Cahill normally does, especially when we dont have the ball?
Steve_E
Saha seems to drop deeper than Beckford most of the time to me. Pienaar's passes really haven't been top notch so far.

nogs
Anyone watching us for the first time this season would wonder how the hell we're 14th after the performance that half. Superb. Skill, passion, high tempo and, surprise surprise, we play two up top and look a threat. I fully expect us to go on to lose now.
MikeO
I fully expect us to go on to lose now. Quality....build us up and then a slap back to reality. Sticking with 3-1....though it could be 2-2. Or we might lose . One of those anyway. VDV is indeed a signing and a half.

One of those anyway. VDV is indeed a signing and a half. That free kick was not far off near the end, possibly one of most complete footballers playing in the strikers role in the prem at the moment. £8m? Worth 3 times that amount. Let's get right out the traps in the second half...
