Romey 1878
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2011/03/10/arteta-injury-update I knew straight away it'd be a tear.
jrossiter
Thats a grade 2 so prob anything from 3-6 weeks I would imagine. So good guess is he is gone for a month and then will take another month to get back into things and sure thats the season over so hes out for the season!! scouse
this happened 7 minutes into the match, when he done his knee in with was about 5 minutes into the game - something with his warm up? As Southall said hes more or less out for the season.
Romey 1878
When he did his knee it was because he landed awkwardly, I don't see how that's anything to do with his warm-up.

scouse
Better warm up more flexable joints? i dont know it was just strange how his two injuries came early in a match
marcopaulo
the knee thing was a landing and had nothing to do with flexible joints i don't think just a bad twist like jags...and hamstrings can just go at any point i guess it happens now and then to players and sadly it has happened to him when he is on form
Hari
A great loss...Hope some one will take up his role n take our team to the top of the table...
Matt
I hope Skippy isnt thrown in to fill the void. Anyone thinking maybe its time for Ossie to get his stint in the middle, he thrives there. Might also mean Maggie gets to come of the bench!

smeghead1
Maggie hasn't been on the bench for quite some time, think he's injured. Is that why ive seen more of Maggie Simpson then! Seriously tho our luck with injuries is terrible thats 4 regular starters out now and SHOCK they all play in midfield.
BrotherEstapol
Time for Bily to get his upteenth chance of the season perhaps? Going on precedence, the team is due for some cracking form now that we have a depleted squad...

MikeO
Could be back for OT ? http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/52623/Arteta_fitness_hopes_.aspx
Hafnia
The break could have been the best thing to happen to him. Far too much focus was being placed on him, the team has done well in his absence - there is less of a feeling of reliance on his creativity. I would bring him in on the left side of midfield to link up with Baines, if all goes well the centre mid is where he should end up when his overall game is at the level we know it should be. Leave him on the left where he played his best before he got injured. Ossie is having a storming bit of form in the middle why would you swap them to play them in positions theyve struggled with all season? marcopaulo
cos it's david moyes and that's the kind of thing he does..don't be surprised to see bily on the bench with osman shiftin to the left when arteta is back

Hafnia
This iPhone does my nut in. The point I made is that arteta should use the left wing to get his form back. Once back to the 90 minute schemer he should be then he should return to where he can boss the game. We didn't give him a 70k a week contract to play on the wing. A 100% arteta in midfield is a far superior player than a 100% osman.
smeghead1
We play a 5 in midfield anyway so why not play them together with Neville sat behind them, put Guaye infront of Baines and Coleman infront of Hibbert! Just a thought.

Arteta has played the majority of his best football cutting in from the wings and Ossie can be just as good in the middle in my opinion and has proven that nearly every time he has played in the centre. Come to think of it, cant remember many games where Ossie was in the middle and didnt get the MOTM award. I dont think Artetas wage has anything to do with his position, it entitles him to play on the pitch if he is playing well enough. If that means the wing where most of his best performances have come from so be it.

Well tomorrow i presume Osman will be in the middle again, against a stifling midfield, so lets see if he can still play as good as he has done the past few weeks, i sense it will be a hard game tomorrow.
