MikeO
Think Primal Scream is unlikely to be right for "Band No3" Rubes....I've heard of "The clue's in the question.." but that would be a bit of a giveaway. Is it Talking Heads?
Louis
1. Crowded house 3. Tear's for fears 6. Radiohead? (wasn't Paranoid Android named after Marvin or something?)

Fancy our Captain Marvel having PN 2000, the showoff. The music ones, you got numbers 1,4 & 9 correct but answer to number 10 deserves to be correct but alas it ain't. Louis got number 3 correct, it is indeed 'Tears For Fears'. Edited June 8, 2011 by The Beard

The Beard
Spot on with them three answers Bill, I thought Dire Straits was an obvious answer. Just 2,5 and 6 to get in the music ones. The car number plate is not a play on words with the guys name, apt for the way he played though.

I knew them because Dire straits was my favourite group, I have a bob Dylan Album with the song on, i remember reading it about Eurythmics sometime or other. The car number plate has got to be either Joey Barton, Vinnie Jones, or Robbie savage 2 -- ZZ Tops 5 -- Level 42 6 -- Everything but the Girl. I googled those 3. At least your honest in cheating Bill. ZZ Top did indeed get their name when Frank Beard, the ZZ Top member without a beard, was lying in a hay-loft and loved the Z shape of the beams above him. Level 42, indeed as Mike explains. and Everything But The Girl, because the charity shop where they got the name from did have as it's slogan 'Everything is for sale but the girl'. Bill was close on the footballer, it was in fact Roy Keane.
