I am sure Moyes tried to complete the business early but maybe the board didn't give the funds he required or he couldn't for another reason. Also, Stoke have always had a wealthy chairman, he just never invested a lot of money until recently. Oddly I also expect us to start badly at the beginning of the season. I know it sounds pessimistic, but in truth it is what I expect. Be really nice to be proved wrong.
