Sideliner Posted October 13, 2012 Report Share Posted October 13, 2012 Introduction of an orange and a white card.Orange more serious than yellow but not red - player goes to sinbin for 10 minutes and can then come back onto the field.White for incidents which warrants retrospective correction by a panel of officials - for doubtfull fouls , dives , dangerous play etc - this should assist in cleaning up the game.Injured players should also be taken off the field and treated to avoid tactical delays. Fuck all that £200,000 a week for a measly game or 90 minutes endeavors, it's goddamn ridiculous, nobody on earth needs, or justifies, such asinine amounts for a weekly pay. They should have a cap for all players, I.e. the EPL should introduce £50,000, (and even that is too much, £5,000 would be enough for any player, but would they introduce that?, of course not), for maximum pay for any and all players, and then the championship £25,000 for example, even in Europe, should be about the same amount in equivalent prices. FAIR AND IMPARTIAL MATCH OFFICIALS Of course such a thing may never see the light of day, and I'm not suggesting your regular match day referee is bent or corrupt or just plain incompetent, but there's far too much of it going on, of which most that simply goes unnoticed. Ferguson would have nothing to complain about however, and maybe the referees make mistakes, all part of human nature, rather than blatant favoritism, but it's something, that in an ideal world, would have been pleasing to see, unless we ever get robotic or programmed referees and that won't be in our lifetimes. SCRAP THE OFFSIDE RULE Seriously, what is the point of it. Most people don't understand it, let alone really pay much attention to it. Players included. It has been done with great success in hockey and has led to more goals and less interference by officials - the end result is a more flowing game and more action - what more can we ask. The restrictive game with few goals however makes it possible for a lion like England to be matched against a mouse like San Marino - that means more games more money - for the people in charge - they don't care a damn for spectators and fair play - as long as they can become even fatter cats. However I do not like messing around with the rules, the game is a good one and shouldn't be messed with. Let's go back to using the old fashioned lacey's and have apprentices using dubbin on them. What people don't realise is that the bad decisions make the game entertaining, because everyone has an opinion and everyone can benefit or suffer from them. Football is such a good sport because of all the different opinions people have about it and if we introduce some of the bollocks rules people have stated so far then football will be about as entertaining as ballet. If players have an issue with something, put it in an autobiography or put up a newspaper column to handle it, not somewhere where it's so easy for things to get out of hand. Some players make a rod for their own backs sometimes they way they go about their business or conduct themselves online. Just feel it's sometimes not a good idea for professional players to get involved. Of course until the recent past, there was never any of this. RE-INTRODUCE SALES OF ALCOHOL AT SCOTTISH LEAGUE STADIA Ever since the early 1980s, there has been a ban of sales at all scots stadiums after the events of one Old Firm game where some serious mayhem went on. Maybe it's time that was ended, if any fans want a drink they'll invariably get hold of something before game time outside the arena, so they're going to be intoxicated once inside anyway. Soccer hooligan problems, although still evident in places, is nothing like it was 30 years ago, and maybe it's time they knocked off the ban in the SPL and allowed drinking inside stadia once again. Sideliner Posted October 15, 2012 Report Share Posted October 15, 2012 Oficials should be evaluated post match in a transparant way and also receive yellow and red cards depending on the severity of their fouling of the rules.At this stage they are not held publicly liable for blatant errors - in other words there is no deterrant preventing certain officials becoming habitual offenders costing some sides plenty - even to the extent of spoiling a whole season's work if a side misses out on acheiving something by 1 or 2 points.We just cannot afford to tolerate incompetancy at this level - this season has been shocking so far - and not doing the immage of the sport any good.No amount of talking can correct an obvious injustice - justice must be seen to be done!
