If City beat Arsenal next week and we win at Fulham we've our faith in our own hands.

Everton's remainin fixtures:

Fulham (a), Arsenal (h), Sunderland (a), Crystal Palace (h), Man United (h), Southampton (a), Man City (h), Hull (a).

Arsenal's remaining fixtures:

Man City (h), Everton (a), West Ham (h), Hull (a), Newcastle (h), WBA (h), Norwich (a).

Obviously their run in would still be easier on paper, but at least it's something.

We've got a game in hand remember. Should we beat Fulham and they lose to city, we'll be within 3 points plus a game at home against Palace. I think it could come down to our fixture against the Arse at Goodison to decide who gets 4th.

Arsenal are nailed to win those last 5 games.

Playing City late in the season isn't going to be nice. They'll be fighting to the death for the title.

They seem very prone to a slip up in their current form. Also, we've got a good record at spoiling title bids - beat City at home and got that 4-4 draw at OT during that Agueerrrooooooo season.

Had to watch this game late last night and that was a fantastic performance last night. Could have been different if Newcastle had taken their couple of chances in the first few mins.

The players have put in the performances that now set the platform for a push on the Champions League place in the home stretch and if you had offered me that at the beginning of the season I'd have bitten your hand off for the opportunity.

Yes, it's Everton and we tend to disappoint but in the past under the old management we would never have won 3-0 away to Newcastle with that kind of attacking intent. At least we can dream.

Looking at the games left the Arsenal and City games are key and with Arsenal having a case of the wobbles we can begin to dream, and I'll take that.

Woeful article. Basically his main complaint is that our loan signings have actually been effective on the night. It's a bit like saying ban transfers because Everton always seem to get a quality side on the cheap.

Makes it even worse when their most influential player in Remy is on loan for QPR ffs.

How tiring is this Loan argument nonsense??? All of a sudden Everton are cheating by loaning players? Lukaku is costing approx £5m for this one season - near £100k a week.

If anything it is a stupid argument, we had Lineker on a permanent deal and had him for one season. We owned Rooney and had 2 seasons... we could get Deulofeu next year and it will be the same without the profit - so what is the issue???

Its just sour grapes, did everyone kick off when Bolton had strurridge or wilshire?

The one thing these bitter fan hold on to is "ah, lets see what happens when they have to send them back" - my answer will be...

"The same as what Martinez did before but with the added bonus of being able to prove that young talent develops at Everton - so roll up roll up PSG, Real and Barca, give us your multi million pound 19 year olds, we will get them ready for your first team whilst getting 4th place and the revenue to compete in the perm market"
