Aah, that was it, port is 1.x and the cable is 2.0. The port of the card can't transfer the images the card can produce
MikeO
Upgraded my laptop, stuck with Acer Nitro 5 as was happy with the old one but it's now a bit shabby and the lid/screen is breaking (can't close it). Was going to just get it fixed but Josh put the "new one" idea in my head and once it was there it was inevitable https://store.acer.com/en-gb/acer-nitro-5-gaming-laptop-an515-57-black-nh-qesek-003?gclid=Cj0KCQjw06-oBhC6ARIsAGuzdw0f4Xas6AO-yC6hSR1isVFtFBqwHamUqu1h4LvbHX83KeiobzG1tQkaAuL3EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Also got a Blackview tablet (not even heard of them before) which is great, much better than my Samsung Galaxy is or ever was! Those along with the new phone I'm fully teched up KinL and Matt

MikeO
Took my PC back to Currys/PC World five weeks ago to get it fixed (under guarantee), screen was pixellating like crazy. Had a phone call today to say it's been damaged in transit so they can't fix it but they're giving me £750 credit, my first thought was to wonder how it took five weeks to discover they'd broken it No damage done (to me) because all files backed up elsewhere...bit bloody silly though, you'd think they, of all people, would know how to pack stuff for transit.
